"Wait, really, I'm just fine!" Itadori turned around to face Fushiguro and raised his hands in surrender, or to show he's not a threat. Probably both. "More importantly, you and I are both pretty beat up. Let's get to a hospital."
I was considering stepping out from behind Itadori where he was unintentionally shielding me from Fushiguro when someone appeared on the rooftop with us. Excited to see the Gojo Satoru before me, I silently stepped out from behind my human shield. A man with long white hair spiked up and a blindfold over his eyes was standing near Fushiguro. He hadn't noticed me yet, but I was sure he would soon. I needed to figure out my story.
"What's the situation?" At the sound of Gojo's voice, Fushiguro turned to face the man.
"Gojo-sensei? Why are you here?" Fushiguro sounded flustered, but also relieved at the sight of his mentor.
"Hey. I wasn't planning on coming, but man, you're roughed up. I should show the second-years." Gojo proceeded to take out his phone and snap several pictures of Fushiguro, with the flash on might I add, while the student tried to shield his face from the camera. Gojo kept encouraging Fushiguro to face him. I couldn't help but snicker at the sight before me, but luckily the sound of the camera clicking hid my laugh. "The higher ups wouldn't shut up with a special-grade cursed object gone missing. So, I stopped by while doing some sightseeing. So, did you find it?"
"Um . . . sorry, but I ate it." Itadori finally spoke up with a hand raised and the other pointing at his mouth.
"For real?" Gojo asked the boy, his gaze lingering on me from behind his blindfold for a moment as he noticed me standing beside Itadori.
"For real." Fushiguro and Itadori responded in unison while I stayed silent. I'm not supposed to know what cursed objects are, am I? Gojo approached Itadori, silently analyzing him and occasionally looking over at me.
"Damn, it really did combine with you. That's hilarious. Anything off with your body?" Gojo straightened his back and stepped away from where he was all up in Itadori's face.
"Not particularly." Itadori responded while looking over his body to check for differences.
"Can you swap out with Sukuna?" While Gojo continued questioning his soon to be new student, I walked around them to sit down beside Fushiguro so I would be out of the way.
"Then give us ten seconds. Once ten seconds are up, come back to us." Gojo stretched as he prepared for Itadori to release Sukuna. It was entertaining to watch, but his flexibility was commendable, especially for a guy. Itadori tried to argue, but the jujutsu sorcerer wasn't having it. "Don't worry, I'm the strongest. Megumi, hold on to this."
Gojo tossed the souvenir bag over to his student. I couldn't help but glance over at the bag Fushiguro was holding. With how Gojo went on about the kikufuku, I wanted to try some. Plus, I felt like I hadn't eaten in at least a day which could be possible given when I woke up in the hospital today.
"What is it?" Fushiguro asked as Sukuna started to gain control.
"Kikufuku from Kikusian. It's Sendai's specialty, and it's super good. I recommend the zunda and cream flavor. It's not a souvenir. I'm going to eat it on the bullet train home." Gojo completely ignored Sukuna as he jumped into the air and attempted to attack Gojo from behind. Fushiguro called out a warning, but I had a feeling Gojo knew exactly where the curse was without the heads up.
"Kikufuku's not like other souvenirs . . ." Fushiguro must have seen the way I had been eying the bag he was holding because he offered it to me as Gojo avoided Sukuna's attack. I popped one of the treats into my mouth and offered another to the boy sitting beside me. Sukuna was leaned over with his face less than a foot away from us with Gojo casually sitting on his lower back. "And the whipped cream inside is simply exquisite . . ."
