Gojo proceeded to take the doll from Yuji and removed the curse then tossed it to the ground. He grabbed the hoodie of Yuji's uniform and transported us to the shallow lake where volcano head was waiting for us. The curse almost looked offended that Gojo was willingly touching two people while it had never been able to land a blow on him.
"Sorry about that." Gojo's flippancy, which used to annoy the living daylights out of me, made me chuckle.
"Where the heck?! Hey, where are we?!" The confidant, suave Yuji from earlier had disappeared and confused, childish Yuji took his place.
"Were you waiting?" Gojo's casual attitude in the face of danger never got old. "This is Itadori Yuji-kun, and he's here to watch."
"Mt. Fuji! His head's Mt. Fuji!" While Yuji flipped out, I rested my head on Gojo's shoulder.
'Can we hurry this up? I'm hungry, bored, and tired.' I raised a hand to my mouth to hide my yawn.
'Don't worry, we're almost done.' Gojo leaned down to place a soft kiss on the top of my head before turning his attention back to the curse.
"Sensei, I was at the school just ten seconds ago, right? What's going on here?" Yuji shouldn't have expected a proper explanation from our mentor. When has Gojo ever provided one to his students?
"Oh, we warped here." See what I'm talking about? The best explanation Gojo has ever provided was when he was explaining his infinity to the special grade standing several feet in front of us.
"What's the brat for? He a shield?" Volcano head finally speaks!
"A shield? No, no. I told you, he's here to watch." Gojo's frivolity when facing a curse may be amusing, but leaving the special grade to get Yuji brought back my exhaustion from earlier. "I'm in the middle of teaching this boy lots of things. Don't worry about him. Just keep fighting."
"Bringing in someone who will slow you down just makes you a fool." This curse is so damn dumb. Between Gojo and I, Yuji will be fine.
"It'll be fine. After all . . . you're weak." Gojo's comment may have confused Yuji, but it made me laugh. I didn't bother burying my face in his arm to muffle the sound. Gojo had been teasing and embarrassing volcano head during the entire fight. I was only adding fuel to the fire.
Flames bursted from all three holes in the special grade's head in response to the insult. Compared to a fourth grade curse, this one was strong. Compared to Gojo and I? Weak. I'm sure the curse knew the former, but had yet to realize the latter. Ignorance was the source of volcano head taking offense to what Gojo said.
"Don't underestimate me, brat! I'm going to enjoy swallowing up that smug face of yours!" Like I said earlier, calling someone a brat is no longer effective unless your name is Ryoumen Sukuna.
