chapter twenty seven - day twenty eight

it was a couple days later. liam didn’t do what he planned that night. he stayed with louis, cussed out nurses, cried to harry, and held louis when he was asleep.

louis was hit by a drunk driver on the highway. he was on his way to somewhere. he was pissed, liam was pissed, and they had an argument through texting. louis didn’t have his eyes on the road at that split moment and the drunk driver was going way over the speed limit.

“i love you.” liam whimpered into louis’ ear as he slept peacefully. louis shifted and a small smile appeared on his face. then came a flash.

“you guys look so beautiful, i couldn’t resist.” it was niall in the doorway, holding a small polaroid camera.

liam smiled tightly and held louis.

“is this really happening?”

liam blinked out of his daze at the sound of louis’ voice.

“we were happy, we had a good life. what happened?”

“its just a terrible speed bump in our lives.” liam replied, clearing his throat. louis didn’t say anything after that. he started humming a couple minutes later. humming turned into hushed singing.

“give a little time to me or burn this out, we'll play hide and seek to turn this around, all I want is the taste that your lips allow, my, my, my, my, oh give me love…”

liam smiled and kissed louis’ forehead. louis sighed happily and cuddled into liam’s chest.
