„What the hell do you mean by 'your house isn't ready?'", Helena questioned while running her slender finger through her knotted hair

„What the hell do you mean by 'your house isn't ready?'", Helena questioned while running her slender finger through her knotted hair.

The early hours had come and the sun shone brighter than ever before - at least that was how she felt when she looked out the window into the wide lines of gray faces and gloomy pale trees. To many adventurers, New York was a gift of creativity with it's various types of people and their cultures which once were thrown into a colourful mix, however they didn't stay to long to notice the crumbling walls in the souls of the residents. Nobody really did - even Helena knew little to nothing about it. It was just another city on the edge of brokenhearted anger. No oasis of well-being - to her it was back home but the call ruined her hope of going home.

Normally she would trow a tornado of feelings - beginning with angered tears and a lot of bad words - but she wasn't really in mood and awake. She didn't had time to drink a cuppa and neither had she eaten breakfast. A disaster was it.

"Yeah I do understand the English language thank you very much."

As if the electric didn't work in her small cottage on the east side of London. Just a few months ago Hel bought it as a new house and now nothing went as planned. There was a dangerous virus, her job was finished for now (she hadn't got a glue what the Russo brothers had planned for Sharon) and her stupid house wasn't for use. Either she stayed in this goddamn town or in her parents' house. Helena wasn't a fan of both options but in principle she had no other choice.

„I hate this", the blonde groaned as she finally grabbed a white cup to fill it with hot sea buckthorn tea, "I hate this shit so much. Why is the destiny against me?"

„No, that wasn't a real question. Ever heard of rhetorical questions? We learned it back in seventh grade or so, Yara."

Yara on the other end of the line laughed at her friend's snarky remark - Helena was something. When the two of them were younger, maybe eleven, twelve, the brunette ran into her mother's arms after Hel cussed and throw shade on her. But years later she laughed about Helena's straight to point cursing. What else could she have done rather than that?

„Nah, I won't come home if gollum is- he sure as fuck looks like gollum.... You don't know because you've never seen nor read lord of the rings. It's a shame by the way", she claimed, "Say, how did we befriend?"
