Third Person POV
Phoenix, Arizona.
"Ok, thank you for letting me know. Yes, of course. I'll call you tomorrow, Gwil." Tiffany says before she hangs up the phone. She walks over to the mirror in her office and stares at herself for a moment. At the moment she hated the glass eye that she has to have for the rest of her life. Normally, she embraces it. But today she hated the way it made her look different from how she did five years ago. She hated it was the reason she has been rejected so many times when trying to start her new career. She tied her now long hair that went down to her waist into a low ponytail before walking out of the room.
The entire house had the sun shining through the windows. Boxes were everywhere since her family of five were in the process of moving to San Diego. She was doing her best not to trip over any of them. She stopped and smiled to herself as she observed her husband of twelve years packing many of the things in the living room into a box. Once he stopped, he noticed her and smirked. "Tiff, stop staring at me it's not polite." Rami warns her.
"I'm not staring, I'm gazing." Tiffany defended herself. "It's still creepy." He says with the intentions of messing with her. "No, it's romantic." She states as she walks over and hugs him tightly. "Babe, who were you talking to?" Rami asked. Tiffany sighed not wanting to tell him what her and her agent had just discussed. "It was Gwilym. He called to tell me that Victoria's Secret has reject me. I'm not becoming an angel anytime soon." Tiffany reveals and Rami can tell that she is very upset.
"Wow, you signed a contract with Elite, one of the biggest modeling agencies in the world. But Victoria's Secret doesn't want the most beautiful girl in the world." He comments. Tiffany rolled her eyes. She knew that he was trying way too hard to make her feel better. "It's the damn eye. He told me that they're concerned that I would get hurt on the runway. Bitch, if I can drive a car with just one functioning eye, I'm pretty sure that I can walk in a straight line on a stage. I've done it before." Tiffany vents out her frustration to her husband.
"Babe, I understand. But you're unique, and that's what makes you so beautiful. Just because they don't see it, doesn't mean that every other designer won't either." Rami reassures her. Tiffany blushed hearing this being said to her. Rami kissed her on the forehead and that made her smile. "It's going to be ok." He says.
To both Rami and Tiffany's surprise, their eight year old son and five year old daughter ran into the house red in the face. They were only outside for thirty minutes. But they both also looked scared to death. "What's wrong, River?" Tiffany asked her son. "There was a bobcat outside." The eight year old answered out of breath. Tiffany and Rami both went wide eyed. They most definitely believed their son. Some of the most interesting creatures have visited their yard in the past three years that they have lived here. "Oh and Elise scraped her knee." He said. Rami and Tiffany both hissed at the sight of their daughter's knee. "I'll help you Elise." Rami told her and then walked over and picked her up, placing his youngest child on the marble counter.
Tiffany made sure that River was ok before walking away into her bedroom. This place was also filled with boxes. But she nearly jumped to see her oldest son Freddie sitting on the wooden floor looking at a picture. "Oh, hey Fred. I didn't know you were in here." She greeted him. "Hi mom." Her eleven year old answered not taking his eyes off the framed picture. "What are you looking at?" She asked.
Tiffany didn't need an answer when she took a seat right next to him. He was looking at one of her favorite pictures of her and her dad. "Who's that?" Her oldest asked. "Well the girl in his lap is obviously me." She started and her son was surprised. "Wait really? You look so little, how old were you?" He wondered. "I was maybe two or three. But the man in this picture is my father. Your grandfather." She informs him. "But I already have a grandfather." He said. "I know, but the man in this picture is too." She replied. "Well then why haven't I met him yet?" He asked. "Because he passed when you were a baby. I'll tell you more when you're older, I promise." She said and kissed the top of his head.
"So, that's your dad?" He asked her. Tiffany smiled while looking at the picture. "Yeah, that's my dad." She answered.
A/N: Hey everyone. I hope that y'all are doing well. I am but I am also a little bit overwhelmed and anxious at the moment. Only because this is officially the last chapter of this book. Although I am very happy and proud to have made it to this point, it is still very sad for me. Especially since this was written throughout most of my high school years, and I am graduating this year so it's just personal to me for some weird reason. I want to thank everyone for making all of this possible. Thank you for the reads, votes, and hilarious comments that I have gotten. Sometimes I have laughed my ass off in front of my entire family because y'all are just so funny. I plan on taking a break before I start on the second book. I am so excited to start writing that because I still love the story and I can't wait to dive more into it. And I hope that you all love it as well and are just as happy with book two. Overall I just want to say thank you all for everything because I would not be at this point without each and every one of you. Anyways, I am officially signing off on this book. It is six thirty in the morning where I am at and I really need some sleep. But once again thank you all so much. I love y'all and have a great day.
