Dear Diary,
Going to church was a complete waste of my time. The new manager refused to change my Tuesday shift because there is nobody else to take it. But he did give Johnson the Thursday afternoon shift. Previously there had only been one employee working that shift since it was a dead time for us, and that one employee was me. I begged him to take me off that Thursday shift or at least remove Johnson from it, I could do it all by myself I promised, but he didn’t listen. Nobody in this business listens to a woman. I would leave if I could but I’ve had this job for four years. My hours fit around my classes and the pay is pretty good. Plus the work is solitary, calling for minimal social interaction. It was perfect. Until Johnson came around.
