I found this in one of my old drafts and thought it would be interesting to add. It's follows the plot kind of, but it doesn't involve Error committing suicide.

Multiverse: FGoD
TW: Manipulation (to an extent)?

It hurts. . .

He panted with exhaustion, his bones creaking almost dangerously as he stood himself back up straight. He let out a quiet hiss, some of his wounds pulling open as he did so.

The skeleton across from him looked just as worn out, a giant paintbrush clutched in his hands, yet a small smirk was on his face. That smirk covered up his small sense of guilt.

It hurts so much. . .

"Just give up already Error! I don't understand why you keep destroying!"

Error gave a breathless laugh, "yOU wOUldn't UndErstAnd, Ink. Or, mAybE yOU wOuld, bUt yOU jUst wOn't bElIEvE It cOmIng frOm mE."

Ink only shook his head, disappointed, before launching himself back towards the black-boned skeleton. Error, being almost completely blind in one eye at this point, couldn't fully react as the brush came down on his skull like a wrecking ball.

Please. . .

White burst in his vision, before it turned to blue, then began to fade into black. His hearing was a loud, static ringing, and he could feel his skull cracking like glass.

He couldn't hear the gasp, nor the panicked shout. The shout that was of his name, so desperate and pleading, hoping that whatever damage he just caused was fake.

Blood poured onto the ground, and before Error lost his consciousness completely, he managed to create a portal and get himself into the Anti-Void, a place he knew he would be safe until he recovered.

Please. . . make it stop?

When Nightmare went looking for Error after a two-week disappearance, he, to say the very least, was not expecting to find him in the state that he was.

He was sitting on the floor, using his strings to clumsily play with two dolls. One was his own, while the other was that damned creator. But that wasn't really what caught his attention.

It was that Error had a more. . . child-like spark in his sockets.

Error's head whipped up to see the skeleton, and he seemed to freeze, before relaxing again, though still weary. The goop-covered skeleton paused, before he walked over.

"Oh. . . Uh. . . whO arE yOU?"

Nightmare looked away, before sitting down next to him, "my name is Nightmare. Do. . . do you remember anything?"

"Uh. . . nOt rEAlly. I wOkE Up hErE A whIlE AgO. I cAn't tEll hOw lOng It's bEEn. ThE vOIcEs tEll mE It's bEEn AlmOst twO wEEks sIncE I fIrst wOkE up," Error hummed, "ActUAlly, thE vOIcEs tEll mE yOU'rE. . . sAfE? ThAt's dIffErEnt cOmpArEd tO thAt OthEr nIcE skElEtOn."

Much to Nightmare's horror, Error held up the Ink doll, "thIs gUy. HE wAs sUpEr nIcE! BUt thE vOIcEs sAy hE's nOt nIcE."

Error suddenly dropped the doll as if it had burnt him.

"What's wrong?"

"ThE vOIcES sAy yOU shOUld lEAvE nOw. ThE OthEr gUy iS cOmIng bAck. ByE-byE!"

Nightmare didn't get a chance to respond as he was dropped through a portal.

"Inky? NIghty? WhAt ArE yOU tAlkIng AbOUt?"

Error looked at his two friends, a child's innocents still in his eyes. Dust stood across the hallway casually, watching on carefully.

Everyone had been getting. . . attached to this new Error. The amnesia was only temporary according to his check box, but that doesn't mean that they couldn't befriend him. Although, Ink and the council's side were more invested on changing Error. . . 'fixing' him. Obviously, Nightmare doesn't agree with them.

"Oh, Ruru! We were just talking about. . . how you would be staying over at my place tonight."

Nightmare growled protectively, "sure. But I really insist, he should stay here tonight. He probably wants to decorate his new room."

"I doubt that that's a good idea."

The volume of their voices was building, and others were getting attracted to the commotion, wondering what was going on.

Errors whimpers went unnoticed by the arguing group, and he began to clutch his head with desperate hands.

It hurts. . .

His fingertips began to claw at his skull, the pounding getting louder and louder as the voices in his head grew, despite him being unable to understand what they were saying.

I. . . I thought the pain stopped?

Everyone around him became nothing but a blank background, only able to focus on the ground beneath his feet.

"Stupid glitch."

What was it saying?

"Get back to your job. . !"

H-huh? A job? What job?

"Stop acting like a child!"

Error began to glitch out and stumble, yet he still wasn't noticed.

Before he screamed.

Error screamed.

He finally gained everyone's attention, whimpers and pleads escaping him like a never-ending stream. He wanted for the voices to stop, that he didn't understand, that it hurt.

It hurt so much.
