The letter was dark magenta, with a black. Not often I get letters with seals. Let alone any letters. Everyone at the hotel had given up sending "get well soon" cards several months ago. I picked up the letter and summoned a letter opener. The second I got it open, a familiar scent hit my nose. Vanilla and cherrys, but somehow bitter.... I felt a tear roll down my cheek at the soothing smell. It's most likely wishful thinking, but if it is?...."Mon Cher'...." I whispered. I knew the letter couldn't possibly be from him. But one can hope. The letter inside was in a pastel pink paper, and messy black cursive. Os had lines through them, like anti something signs. "Like him...." I whispered to myself. But why? Why would someone do this? Even how the spacing was made was similar. Why?.... I began to read the note more and I felt my curiosity peek.
