Alex stepped through the threshold staring up at the horns.

Outside of them, the room was clean with rustic oak wood furniture and blue walls similar to his new truck's color.

"Close the door behind you," he said.

His casted leg was uncovered and about half the thigh above it.

Also the sheets were dark blue. It seemed someone had a favorite color.

The direction of his eyes lowering on her wasn't helping anything.

Alex continued looking around the room. "You must be delirious on painkillers."

"You still didn't close the door."

"I never agreed to anything," she pointed out.

"You didn't refuse either. How many times am I gonna have to ask you to shut the door?"

"I'll shut it when I leave."

"That's not gonna be for a while." Confidence laced through each word. Her eyes weren't on him but she could feel him looking at her.

Quiet settled in the room.

"'Ball buster Alex' was gone the minute you stepped through that door."

In challenge, she took a few more steps until she was at the edge of his bed. Which was King sized for the 'King of All Texas'. Alex chuckled at the thought.

"You have a busted leg and you're texting me for sex. Do I have that right?"

Tyler lifted his eyes from her midsection. "Everything else works fine."

She didn't doubt it, but made sure her face conveyed disapproval.

"I'm sure it does, cowboy."

When he tried not to smile, it was the most adorable thing. And that wasn't a word to typically describe him with.

Standing a few feet from her naked and injured client, a wall of heat hit her face. It seared over every ounce of her skin.

It settled between her legs like his eyes, almost catching her breath.

Exhaling, she turned and headed to the open door.

With a hand tight on the knob she closed it behind her.

When the latch clicked, she was still in his room.

Turning back around, a satisfied set of amber colored eyes met hers. The wood was cool under her feet as soft steps led her to the bed again. But instead of stopping at the edge, she stopped at the side where he rested.

Tyler didn't seem interested in pointing out her sudden change of heart.

A large hand rose up and began pulling at her the sash of her robe. It gave way after a little shift.

He glanced up at her. "Off."

Alex pushed the robe away from her shoulders. Before it hit the ground Tyler caught it. His hand brushed the back of her thigh.

"I know it's expensive." He bunched some of the fabric and tossed it so it landed near the edge of his bed. "Just like you."

Alex cut her eyes at him, doubting she'd ever been more attracted to a man in her life.

He patted his thigh. "Come, sit down."

On the order she turned and, using his shoulder to ease down, sat in his lap. His face was only a few inches from hers and warm skin was inviting her to explore and caress.
