"but if you do it like that, it'll take you forever to finish."
"so how would you like me to do it then?"
"i don't know, but not like that."
billie was currently sitting down in Jade's lap, picking at the way the older woman was grading the papers in front of her.
"okay, unless you find a more efficient way to grade them, I'll stay with this one."
billie rolled her eyes playfully and leaned back into jade softly, letting out a loud yawn. "are you sleepy, love?"
"and freezing cold," billie mumbled. "did you fucking turn the a.c. even after I told you not to?"
"maybe...," jade drew out, letting out a scoff after billie glared at her. "i was hot."
"but you're wearing a hoodie! of course you'd be hot."
"no, now i'm cold. just too lazy to get up and turn it off." jade shrugged.
billie let out a sigh and stood up to turn the a.c. off. she walked back towards jade, jumping into her lap again.
"ew, a whole bunch of your hair just went into my mouth." jade groaned.
billie laughed, grabbing her hair and threw it to the side.
"i'm sorry." she turned around, now straddling jade with a pout on her lips.
"don't look at me like that and don't especially do that." jade grabbed billie's hips to stop her from grinding on her thigh.
"what am I doing?" billie acted oblivious. jade sent her a look, lifting her up and throwing her on the couch.
"come on," billie pouted. "don't be so shy."
"i thought we agreed to take it slow, didn't we, princess?"
"maybe i change my mind, hm?" billie bit her bottom lip, a smirk evident on her face.
jade was cut off by a knock on her front door.
"jade, ci sei? ti ho comprato della focaccia!"
"uh, who is that!?" billie laughed loudly. jade stared blankly for a moment,
"that would be my mother in law, well future, ah, you get the point."
jade stood up and answered the door, immediately being swarmed into a huge hug by chelsea's mother, serena, a.k.a cici.
"where's chelsea?" cici asked, her eyebrows laced together in confusion.
"oh," jade frowned.
"she's on vacation, remember? she went to go see her dad back in Italy."
jade let cici in, shutting the front door behind her, which prompted billie to wave softly.
"What are you talking about jay-jay? chelsea's right there."
billie's eyes slightly widened when the woman started to take big strides towards her, "oh, I'm- I'm not chelsea." billie shook her head.
"no, cici--," jade stopped her. "that's not chelsea, lei è nella sua piccola vacanza, ricordi?"
"but she looks just like her, are you sure it's not." cici tilted her head at the redhead.
"her name's billie, cici, but hey, jose's out across the street, he has something for you, okay?"
"oh, jose's here today? okay, i'll go over there, right now, now take this bread from me. oh and calvin wants to speak with you, so call him, kay?"
"yep, i will. love you." jade nodded, reaching down so cici would do her usual kiss on her cheek, which always left a big red stain there that would take forever to wash off.
"love you too, sweet pie, tell chelsea to call me later." cici opened the door and walked out before letting jade close it.
"um," billie vocalized. "a little explanation would be nice, i'm really confused."
"she has dementia," jade sighed, while walking over to billie.
"so we've just settled on allowing her to think chelsea's on vacation."
"that sucks, I'm sorry," billie paused to allow jade to crawl into her open arms and she wrapped them around her after she got comfortable.
"do I look like her though?"
"nothing like her at all." jade laughed. "anyone cici's unfamiliar with, she will assume is chelsea, you're not the only one."
"mhm, tell me about her, what was she like?"
"chelsea? she was a lot of things, funny for sure, she had a laugh that made you laugh. you could have no idea what she was laughing at, but you'd still end up on the ground in tears."
"how did you two meet?" billie whispered, her fingers stroking the wavy red hair sprawled all over her chest.
"Uh, highschool, junior year. can we talk about something else though?"
jade looked up at her with her pearly blue eyes which billie could almost drown in.
"sure, wait a second, did cici say Calvin, like Calvin Klein, 'cause your last name's Klein, or it could be a coincidence."
"not a coincidence, billie." jade laughed, making billie's jaw slightly drop.
"you- you mean to tell me that you're related to like the calvin klein?"
"yeah? he's my grandfather, love the guy but he's never around, so i don't talk to him that much."
"that's fucking sick, dude. so i'm guessing you grew up in the spotlight, huh?"
"when i was little, yes. but during my teenage years, i tried to be seen less and less, it just wasn't for me. i'm surprised you haven't asked the one question though."
"what question?" billie furrowed her brows in confusion. "nothing, billie. nothing."
"but I do have a question for you now." she giggled. "what?"
"why didn't you go into showbiz or do fashion like the rest of your family?"
"that's the question that I thought you wouldn't ask it. right there."
"but why not, it seems fun, you seem like the type who doesn't deserve to be stuck with teaching shitty kids."
"you're talking about yourself too, you know that?"
"well besides me, 'cause I'm not shitty, well at least sometimes."
"i don't know, i just like teaching. there's not much to it," jade shrugged.
"but there's still an interest for fashion to me, i could still start, i'm only twenty two, so."
"i mean if it's what you want to do, more than teaching, i'd say go for it."
"you think?" jade looked up at her. "sure, why not?"
"okay, maybe i'll think about it, not sure yet."
"wait, is cici going to say anything about me being here?"
"she doesn't know we're dating and two, just don't mention you being my student around her."
"oh, so we're dating now? i wasn't expecting that-"
"i mean my definition of dating is only seeing one person and you're the only person i've been interested in romantically since chelsea."
billie smiled softly at her words, running her fingers through jade's hair.
"i could say that's my definition too. i really i have to go back home tomorrow, now we have to be all sneaky around in school."
"yeah, we'll find a way, okay? but let's not think about that, get dressed, i'm gonna take you out."
"really? where?" billie beamed when jade stood up.
"it's a surprise, just get dressed."
a/n: sorry for taking forever... love you, be nice and you might get another update today.
