Y/N POV.

Uh! I don't want to get up.

The alarm clock rings and I groan. I turn it off and sit up. I get out of the room and into my daughter's room.

"Hey princess. Come on. Let's get ready and get you to your grandma.", I say to her.

"I wan o be wiw you.", she whines. (Translation: I want to be with you.)

"But sadly you can't. And now come on. Please."

She looks a bit sad but gets up. I leave her room and make her breakfast.

After I brought her to my mother I get to work. I change into the uniform and get behind the counter. And now I have to wait. Yey. I let myself fall onto the chair and get out my phone. I play a bit with it, so it won't be that borring.

After something that felt like eternity I hear footsteps coming to the counter. I turn off my phone and look up. It's the man with the black hair again.

"Hey!", he says when he sees me.

"Hey. Eahm.. espresso. Right?"

"Yeah. How do you remember?"

"Honestly I don't know.", I say laughing.

Because you think he looks good! Idiot!

"Again one?", I ask him.

"Please and.. and your number..if it's okay..", he mumbles.

"What?", I ask even thought I understood what he said.

"Oh. N.. nothing.. yes.. please an espresso..", he starts to blush and I start to smile.

"Okay. You want to drink it here or.."

"No. Sadly not this time."

"Perfect. If you want, you can take a seat. I'll bring it to you when it's ready."

He nods and walks away. I shake my head to clear my thoughts and start the coffee machine. I filled the coffee in one of the cups and close it. I also lay a note to it with my number. I take the coffee with the note and walk up to him.

"Here you go.", I say and give it to him.

"Thanks. How much.."

"Oh. Nothing. This one's on the house."

"Thank you very much."

He kisses me on the cheek hesitantly. I start to blush, just like him.

"Okay.. I.. I.. I got to go.. b.. but have a n.. nice day..", he stutters and walks out of the café.

"Y.. yeah.. you too.."

I still blush like hell and tumble back behind the counter. Again, nothing happened all day. Just like every day I get my little princess and drive to the flat. Cops were right there.

"Wha are hey oing here?", she asks me. ("What are they doing there?" And as info, I just want to let it sound a bit more like a child. Does it work? If not, any other ideas?)

"I don't know. ", I open the seat belt and get out of the car.

I get Mavis (A/N: you can change the name if you want to), lock the car and walk up to the flat.

"Excuse me. What are you doing here?", one of the men asks me.

"Eahm.. my flat is in this building.. what.. what happened?"

"I don't think this is supposed to be for a children."

I look to her. The playground was right next to the flat block. What a coincidence. Y/Sn is right there.

"Hey. Can you keep her for a sec.", I ask her.

"Eahm.. sure.. what's..  what's wrong."

"We can have a coffee after that.", I gave her Mavis, which already fell asleep, "Thanks."

I run up to the cops again.

"And now? I would really like to know what happened here.", I cross my arms in front of my chest.

"You're a hard one. Okay. Murder. Someone killed a man. 40 years old. There was no corpse. Just the blood of the victim. No one saw someone walking out of the flat neither saw they someone walking out of the building that was somehow suspicious."

"Wow. Any hints to the murderer?"

"No. Sadly. Where do you live, if I'm allowed to ask. Like, which floor?"

"Eahm. 2nd one. Why?"

"Just for your safety. The victim's flat was in the 3rd floor. And that you won't walk into some detections. And the thing with the footprints in the hallways is invalid, because there where many people walking through the building since the death. Have a lovely day."

"Thanks.."

I don't know. The end of the conversation was really weird. Or is it normal? I have never been in something like that. I walk back to Y/Sn. My thoughts were only about that "mystery". I shake my head and try to focus on my sister and her niece again. Works a bit. She gives Mavis back to me.

"Thanks. Come. You want a coffee or something like that?", I ask her.

"Sure."

We walk up to the flat and I give Mavis in her bed. She still sleeps. I smile to myself and give her a kiss on her forehead before I turn on the night light and leave the room. Y/Sn was already outside on the balcony. I sigh, get the coffee and walk our to her. She leans on the handrail and smokes a cigarette. She raises an eyebrow.

"You want one too?", she asks me with the cigarette in her mouth.

I think for a moment, but just nod in the end. She gives me one of them and I light it. I take a deep drag and blow out the air again.

"And?", she takes a sip of her coffee, "What was the problem?"

"Someone got killed here. One floor above the flat."

"What?!"

"Yeah. They didn't find the body. They also have no hints."

"When was the death?"

"I have no idea. I would say.. maybe yesterday? Could also be longer ago. He said something, that they couldn't identify the footsteps in the hallways anymore. So it can't have happened today."

"Wow. That's somehow really creepy. I mean.. they have no idea what happened to the corpse. How did they know there was a murder?"

"Blood. Much blood and a help that was scratched into the wooden floor. I think.. I've heard them talking about that when I brought you Mavis."

"Holy shit. You could be a spy!"

I start to laugh and lean over the handrail too.
