#4 - Lucky People

Y/N POV.

Suddenly my phone starts ringing. I look at it. A unknown number. I pick up.

"Hello?", I ask.

"Hi! It's me. Gerard. You know? The man with the balck hair. Eahm.. espresso!"

"Oh! So your name is Gerard! Really beautiful name."

"Thanks. Eahm.. I wanted to ask you.. if you maybe want to.. to meet each other. I would love to get to know you better."

"Sure! I would love to! When? And where?"

"Maybe.. Friday? At nine p.m.?"

"Sure! Where?"

"Do you like.. Comics..?"

"If I like them? I love Comics!"

"Then we could meet at the comic book store next to the Maclaren's if you want. Does this sound like a plan?"

"This sounds like a great plan. Then we see each other on Friday. Right?"

"Right. See you then."

I hang up an Y/Sn looks to me with a strange smile on her face.

"What?", I ask her and put my phone in my pocket.

"Who was this? Your new boyfriend?"

I start to blush, "Eahm.. no. It's.. it's just a man I met at the café. He.. he.. I.."

"Bub! Stop! I know what you mean. You don't have to search an excuse. But what's with Jack?"

"We broke up. He is a fucking bastard."

"Yeah. I didn't want to say that while you were together and I don't want to sound like mom, but he wasn't good for you."

"I know. But I thought I couldn't break up because we have a daughter. And I mean.. she is also his daughter."

"But he doesn't care. You need to find a new father for her. I mean he is a junkie. Nothing more and nothing less. Just a fucking abusive junkie. I mean he also hit her! That's not how a father should treat his daughter!"

"I know. He.. he is.. I don't know what to say about him."

~ Time Skip ~

It's Friday, I'm going to meet Gerard at the Comic book store and I'm so fucking excited and nervous. I mean.. what if he gets to know me better and doesn't like me? I know it sounds strange because we have just meet.. but still..

I sit in front of the mirror and take a last look at myself. Does it look good? I think so?

Suddenly Mavis crashes into the room.

"I'm weady!", she says happy. ("I'm ready!")

"Great. Then we can go!"

"I have a question."

"Keep going. You know you can ask me anything."

"Wha awe u going to do?" ("What are you going to do?")

"Oh. I'm going to meet someone. He seems really nice and asked me if we want to meet."

She nods and jumps up and down. I pick her up and walk to the car. I drive again to my parents and let her be there.

I get back into the car and drive to the comic book store. I play with my fingers and enter the store. I wore just a jeans, a tank top, my boots and some Eyeliner.

I look through the store and see Gerard. I wave him. He sees me, smiles and waves back.

Gerard POV.

I waited for five minutes. But then I finally saw them. They look so beautiful. They wave me and I wave back. They come to me.

"Hey.", I say and hold my hand to them.

"Why so formal?", they come to me and hug me.

I also give my arms around them and smile. After the hug I look at them.

"You look really good.", I say.

"Thanks. Same goes for you."

I start to blush a bit and look down to the ground, "L.. let's get a look what they got here."

"Sounds good."

We walk up to the shelves with the many comic books. We both start to look through them and found some we searched for. We bought them and leave the shop. But it sounds shorter than it actually was. We were there for 2 hours and just.. yeah.. looked at comics.

"You want to drink something? Or get something to eat? Or just.. just get somewhere and talk?", they ask a bit shy.

"I would love to. Would you like to come to mine?"

"Really?"

"Yeah! Why not? I mean we could talk about comics, music, hobbies and all these things. I would love to get to know you better."

"Then let's go! I also really want to know you better."

I start to laugh a bit. Then we walk to one of the cars and drove to the house.
