Pain. The moment his mind slowly woke him from his state that's all he felt. He didn't want to move. He could feel the ground slicing into his already scratched up back. Which brought him to think what happened to bring him into this state before he remembered. That other vampire...that fight..it took almost all his effort to open his eyes. Even more so to touch the wound.

It felt dry to the touch. Did that other vampire actually do it? Kill what was left that made him...him? That made him feel wanted in the society that he was born in? His hand fell back to the floor as he slowly blinked staring at the ceiling of the cave.

Now the pain was hitting harder.. he felt as if someone was suffocating him with a plastic bag. He felt he was being inflated. He dug his nails into the hard rock of the cave desperately trying to gasp for air.

But why try to breath when...you're not; what society perceives to be normal? What about the other vampires that may outcast him for wanting to still be human. Why did he still feel these emotions...? He gasped heavily as he tried to sit up. But his body felt like a heavy weight itself. Couldn't move. Barely could breathe.

He suddenly wasn't breathing. He slowly blinked. His body felt light again. He slowly sat up as he blinked and looked around. He winced at the horrible pain flaring from his lower back. But. His body wasn't in the same as pained confused state as before. He looked around seeing light from the sun flooding the entranced the cave.

The male sighed as he hugged his legs staring beyond the cave watching the waves lapping and hugging the black sandy beach. God he already missed just being able to even be in the presence of light. He should've listened. Should've stayed inside that night. But because he didn't...he was now one of them. And he knew enough about his new form.

First off- he couldn't be anywhere near garlic, had to be careful around stakes, and sunlight. Those where their fatal flaws.  HIS fatal flaws. He breathed in the salty air slumping down more he had to fight every urge to not run out of the cave and just lay in the sun. He'd just have to learn how to adapt to his new body. It was his fault he was in this situation anyway.
