"Alright everyone! Pick who you're sitting with now and line up in pairs! I'll collect permission slips at the door!" Daichi shouted over the noise.

"Tsukki?" I asked the blonde boy beside me.

"Of course," he answered, making me smile. "C'mon."

Together, we walked up and handed in our forms. I saw the others pairing up and smirked, seeing all of the obvious pairs. Everyone lined up by the door, and in the end, Tsukki and I ended up sitting towards the middle. Kageyama and Hinata sat in front of us, while Tanaka sat behind us.

"Everyone, look up here!"

We looked to the front where Daichi stood beside an older girl. "This is Kiyoko! Those of you who have been in the club already know her, but I just wanted to introduce her to the first years."

I smiled and gave a small wave as I heard two excited squeals from behind me.

"Kiyoko! Our queen!" Tanaka and Nishinoya said in unison.

Tanaka glared at Noya. "Dude, your boyfriend is right beside you."

"Fuck off, Ryu. I'm bisexual, not blind," Noya responded.

Kiyoko made her way over and sat in one of the only empty rows. Tanaka smiled as he watched her, stars in his eyes.

"If only someone would look at me like that," I muttered, only to recieve snickers from the boys in front of us.

"What?" I questioned.

Kageyama turned and pointed at me. "You need to open your eyes."

My brows furrowed at his comment and I felt Tsukki shift beside me. I decide to just ignore them, knowing they aren't that bright in the first place. Sitting back, I sigh.

As the bus starts rolling, I get comfortable in my seat. I know Aoba Johsai is in the same prefrcture, but it was still a good hour away. I reached up to take my ponytail out, letting my hair fall over my shoulders.

"Woah! Look how long his hair is!" I hear Nishinoya say.

"Nishinoya, doesn't Asahi have longer hair than his? Why are you so amazed?" Suga asked, looking over the seat from the front row where he sat beside Daichi.

"Why do you guys always bring up Asahi whenever I speak?" Noya grumbled.

"Because one, you're practically joined at the hip, and two, everything you sat makes it sound like you completely forgot he existed," Daichi deadpanned.

I snickered, causing Noya to look my way. "Hey! Quiet you first year brat!"

This time I let out an actual laugh. "Well, it's true, isn't it?"

"Yeah, Nishinoya. They're right," Hinata added. "You do seem to say things that make it sound like you don't care much for Asahi."

Okay, brutally honest much?

Asahi put a protective arm around the younger boy. "Aww, guys. I know Noya loves me. And really, it doesn't bother me when he says that stuff. I chose him for a reason."

Suga laughed. "Oh my Asahi, that was cheesy. Why does the most intimidating guy we have have to be the biggest softie?"

Daichi smiled. "Wouldn't like him any other way."

"Suga, do you really have to substitute my name in for God every time?" Asahi asked.

The whole team laughed at this, even the few who had stayed silent. I leaned my forehead on Tsukki'a shoulder as I took a few breaths. I felt him tense a bit under my unexpected touch and smiled when I felt him realax.

As the bus went mostly silent, with people only talking in quiet conversations, I settled down, keeping my head on Tsukki's shoulder. He put in an earbud, putting the other in my ear without even asking, I closedmmy eyes as he started playing music.

Slowly but surely, I drifted off into a light sleep. All I cpuld think about was how happy I felt.

"Yamaguchi, wake up. We're here."

I opened my eyes and looked out the window to see the side of a school building. I rubbed my eyes and yawned, standing up.

"Grab your equipment, boys!" Daichi yelled back.

As the others went to grab their various instruments, I stepped off the bus completely. The sun hit my eyes and I squinted, still not fully awake.

The first one off was Kageyama. He had his bass case in hand and quickly side stepped as Hinata, Tanaka, and Nishinoya came running off the bus. Tanak and Tsukki had only brought drumsticks, seeing as it was hard to lug around a drum set. They would be borrowing Aoba Johsai's stuff instead.

"All right, boys! I have an announcement!" Takeda yelled over our talking, causing us to go quiet. "Ah, thank you. Anyways, Aoba Johsai requested that we get a feel for each other by playing a song first."

I hummed. "So, you're saying we need tochoose a few people to play a song for them?"

Takeda nodded. "Yup! Then they'll play one for us."

"I say we have the first years do it," Suga said, making everyone turn to him. "I mean, come one. None of us upperclassmen have even been to club in weeks. And we heard them. They're good. What better way than to have them introduce us?"

Various nods and words of agreement were shared, leaving us first years in shock.

"Yeah guys, let's do it!" Hinata yelled, jumping up and down.

"I'm fine with it if you guys are," I said with a shrug.

Kageyama nodded. "Doesn't bother me. Four eyes over there is the one who looks like he might kill someone."

"Uhm, yeah, Tsukishima are you okay?" Yachi asked.

Tsukki was too busy giving us the death glare to answer. I cautiously smiled and patted his shoulder. "C'mon, Tsukki, it'll be fun."

"Fine." He walked off after the single word and I sighed.

"Sorry. Anyways, what song should we do?" I asked.

Hinata grinned. "How about Pretty Face by Public?"

We all smiled at each otherm knowing that would be perfect. It had that nice blend of instruments and vocals and would let everyone shine through. I saw the others giving us wierd looks, but ignored them.

We were gonna surprise the fuck out of these prep kids.
