"Y/N, wake up. We gotta get dressed for work." Maya shook you gently.
"Ugh I don't wanna go." You groaned.
"I know. We have to. The fires aren't gonna put themselves out."

You reached out and pulled Maya back down onto the bed, cuddling up to her. "Five more minuets."
"I already gave you five more minuets Y/N. Come on." She started kissing your neck.
You reached up and gently pulled the hair at the base of her neck.
"See if you would've woke me up like that, I would've been up a lot sooner." You said laughing.
"Maybe another day. Come on get ready. I made coffee."

You got up and got dressed, and met her in the kitchen.
You took a sip of your coffee, "God that's perfect. How'd you know how I like it?"

"Y/N you've been living off of coffee at the station for the past month, we all know how you like your coffee. Which reminds me, you really need to eat more."
"I just don't eat a whole lot. I never have." You said shrugging.
Maya grabbed her keys and the two of you walked to her car and got in.
She didn't live far from the station so it didn't take long to get there.
"What are we telling everyone once they see that we drove to work together?" You asked.
"I mean if you want, we can tell Vic about us. She's my best friend and she won't tell anyone. But we'll just say that your car wouldn't start so I gave you a ride yesterday and picked you up this morning."
"I wish I could give you one more kiss before we go in." You told her.
Maya looked around and saw no one, so she leaned in to give you a quick kiss.

"I could get used to doing that." Maya said smiling.
"Oh stop. Cmon let's go before we're late."

The two of you grabbed your things and walked inside.
"Hey Cap! Y/N I thought you were already here? Your car was here." Ben said.
"It wouldn't start last night. So Captain Bishop gave me a ride home and picked me up this morning." You said, walking with him to the locker room.
"Want me to take a look at it when we get off?" Ben asked.
"No thank you Ben. I worked at an auto shop from twelve to seventeen, so I picked up a few things along the way." You said laughing.
"Well damn, remind me to call you next time I'm having car problems."
"Deal."

You got through your day, which only consisted of cleaning since no calls came in.
You were grabbing things out of your locker when you heard your phone go off. You grabbed it and looked at a text from Maya.

Maya: Hey! Dinner at my place tonight? I invited Vic so you two can get to know each other better. I'll cook for you ❤️

You smiled and sent a reply,

Y/N: Of course, I'd love to. But I don't think what I want is on the menu 😉

You walked out to your car and got in, driving the short distance to Maya's house.
She was waiting out front for you.

"Hi beautiful!" She exclaimed.
"Well hello yourself," You gave her a kiss. "You're in a great mood."

She led you inside, and wrapped her arms around your waist.
"Because I got our results from our review back today." She said smiling.
"And?"
"We passed everything with flying colors. Highest score in Seattle! I can't wait to tell everyone tomorrow, I'm so proud of all of you." She said beaming.
"And I'm proud of you Maya." You gave her a quick kiss.

You went into her bedroom, and threw on a pair of her sweatpants and her old station 19 shirt.
"I forgot my bag at work, I figured you wouldn't care if I borrowed these."
"Of course. They look better on you than me anyway." She said winking.

"So, what's for dinner. Cause I'm starving." You asked.
"I'm just cooking spaghetti and meatballs. Something simple. Oh, and by the way. I didn't tell Vic that it was you. She just knows she's coming over to meet my girlfriend."
"I like it when you call me your girlfriend." You said, wrapping your arms around her from behind.
"And I like saying it."
