"C'mon guys! We got a call!" Maya yelled as the alarm went off at the station.
You all rushed and got dressed in your gear, jumping into the wagon.

Maya jumped in the drivers seat, and drove you all to the scene.

You pulled up to a burning school, kids were running out of the building as teachers ushered them to their waiting space.

"Warren, Y/L/N, Hughes! Make sure the fire is contained! Herrera, Gibson, you two are with me. Let's go make sure all the kids are out."

You ran to help Ben and Vic get the hose out of the truck, pulling it to the building and spraying it down.

You looked over to the side, and saw someone banging on a window inside the school.
You ran over and tried to break the window, but it wouldn't break.
"Warren! I'm going in!" You pulled your helmet on.
"Y/L/N! Stay put!" Ben yelled.

You ignored him and ran inside the building.

Ben picked up his walkie talkie, "Bishop,
Y/L/N just ran inside."
"What! I'll be right there!"  She ran to Ben's side, as he pointed to the door you ran through.

She put her mask on, and ran inside.
"Y/N! Say something!" All she could see was smoke and fire.

A kid ran out of the smoke, wearing your helmet.
"She's in that classroom! She gave me her helmet and passed out!" He said bawling.
Maya ushered him out of the door, and went back in for you.
"Y/N!" She shouted as she entered the room.

She looked down, and saw you under a book shelf.

"Y/N!" She ran over and struggled to pick the shelf up.
"Warren! I need some help in here!" She yelled into her walkie.
He ran in a minuet later, and helped her pick the book shelf off of you.

She picked you up, and ran out of the building.
"Move! Move! I need a medic over here!" Ben shouted as he ran behind Maya.

Maya laid you on the ground and felt your neck for a pulse.
"She still has a pulse. Y/N, talk to me." She shook you.

The medics ran over, and loaded you on a gurney.

Maya stared at you as they loaded you in the ambulance.
"Go. We have this handled here." Ben gently

Maya ran to the ambulance, and jumped in.
She quickly sat down and grabbed your hand.
"It's gonna be okay Y/N. You're gonna be okay."

They rushed you to Seattle Grace, and quickly got you out of the ambulance.
"Firefighter down, major smoke inhalation." One of the drivers told the doctors outside.
"She-she was under a book shelf." Maya shouted as they ran in with you.

Maya ran in after the doctors, and stood in the trauma room door.
"Page plastics!" A lady doctor with dirty blonde hair yelled.
"Strong heart beat, nothing seems wrong with that. Page me if you need me." A doctor with curly black hair ran out past you.

"Did you page for a consult- Maya? What are you doing here?" Jackson said walking up.

Maya started bawling and hugged him tight.
He looked into the room and froze.
"Avery! Do you know her?" The blonde doctor yelled.
"Y-Yeah she's my god sister..." He said, still in shock.
"Someone page Sloan! And get them into the waiting room!"

A nurse ushered them away from the door, and Jackson took Maya to the waiting room.

"Maya, what happened?" He asked.
"S-She ran into a burning school to grab a kid. She gave him her helmet after the bookshelf fell on her. I should've kept my eye on her, this is all my fault."

"Hey, this isn't your fault. We know how stubborn she can be. She would've done this wether you told her to or not. She's made it through worse. She's gonna be okay. She's strong." He said rubbing her back.
