Chapter Thirty-Nine

*Two months later. Day before the wedding*

"Okay Mom. Katie's bottles are in the refrigerator, she's already had a bath, and her bedtime is nine o'clock." Maya said, putting the baby's diaper bag on the floor.
"I know Maya. Thank you for letting me keep her tonight. I know it's hard for you to let your little girl stay the night with someone."
"Thank you for keeping her. We really appreciate it Mom." You said with a smile.
You accidentally called Katherine Mom once. She said you could call her that if you wanted to. It felt nice to have a Mom.

"We'll see you tomorrow. Goodbye my sweet girl, mommy and mama love you." Maya gave your daughter a kiss on the head.

The two of you said your goodbyes and walked out to the car.
"So, our bachelorette parties are tonight." Maya said as the two of you drove home.

"I'm excited. And tomorrow, we'll be married."
"Tomorrow, we'll be married." She leaned over and kissed you as she parked the car in the driveway.

"Do you know what they've planned?" She asked as she saw the cars parked in the street.
"I have absolutely no idea. Jackson refused to tell me anything."
"Andy wouldn't tell me anything either."
"Let's go inside and get it over with." You said with a laugh.

The two of you walked inside, "Surprise!" Everyone yelled.
"Hey guys! Oh my God everything looks amazing!" Maya said.

They had decorated the place with signs that said, 'Same Penis Forever'.
"Can we keep these signs and hang them in our bedroom?" You joked.

"Come on! Grab something to eat." Andy said dragging the two of you to the food table.

You and Maya made your plates, and walked around talking to everyone.

"I'm so excited for tomorrow. You two are gonna look amazing." Lexie said with a smile.
"I can't wait either. I'm so excited." You said, smiling at Maya while she was talking to Jackson on the other side of the room.

*Four hours later*
"Jackie! I'm having so much fun!" You yelled over the music.
"Y/N, you haven't called me Jackie since we were kids." He said with a smile.
"Yeah? But I'm getting married tomorrow! So I can call you whatever I want!" You gave him a hug.
"Have you been drinking?" He asked with a laugh.
"No! I'm just really happy Jackson. Maya makes me happy." You said with a sigh.

"Hey! Sorry we're late. The baby sitter was late." Arizona said walking up.
"Arizona! I can't believe you're here!" You gave her a hug.
"We wouldn't miss it Y/N. I mean we've gotten pretty close the past few months." She said with a laugh.
"Is this Callie? God she's gorgeous!" You turned to face Callie. "You're so pretty!"
"Thank you! Congratulations on getting married. Where's the other bride to be?"

"Let me go grab her real quick." You said with a smile.
You walked through the crowd of people, and found Maya talking to Andy.
"Hey Maya? Can I borrow you real quick? Arizona is here and her wife wants to meet you."
"Of course. I'll be right back." She took your hand as she led you to them.
"Callie, this is Maya. Maya this is Callie."
Maya shook her hand. "Nice to meet you. I don't know what we would've done without your wife. She's an amazing doctor."
"She really is. I'm proud of her and her work with the tiny humans." Callie said with a smile.
"Speaking of tiny humans, how's Katie?"
"Great! She's with Maya's mom tonight. Here's a picture of her from this morning." You showed her a picture of your chubby blonde headed blue eyed baby.

"Oh my God! Look at those rolls. You'd never be able to tell she was a premie." Callie said with a laugh.

"Come on ladies. Shot time!" Meredith handed them shots of tequila.
"I'm sorry. I don't drink." You handed your shot to Maya.
"Oo! My sister doesn't drink either! You two can be sober buddies! Let me grab her." Meredith ran off to find her sister.
"At least I'll have a sober buddy." You said with a laugh.

Meredith drug over a brunette, "Y/N, this is Amelia."
"Wait, Doctor Shepherd?"
"Maya? This is your fiancé?"
"Yes! Oh my God, Y/N. Amelia sat and talked me through your surgery when you got injured!"
"Oh awesome! It's nice to meet you Amelia. Let's go be sober buddies." You said with a laugh.
