Luke made sure his makeup supplies were organized, and in their proper place. Today, him and Skylar were filming their very first video. It was probably only an introduction video, but Luke wanted to make a good impression on Skylar by having everything neatly organized into the correct place.
The doorbell rang shortly after Luke finished cleaning his brushes (all twenty of them). Skylar stood at the door, biting at her black nail polish, and smiling shakily.
"Ready to start?" She asked, pursing her red lips. Luke nodded, and lead her to their filming area.
"Wow. You were really serious about this, huh?" Skylar asked as she took a look at the small light illuminating the area. Luke's camera was set up on the tripod, ready for filming. He could sense Skylar was a little overwhelmed, but was unsure on how to help ease her mindset. He could tell that she was questioning his sanity, but really, Luke was just overly excited about making his first video. He had gone on and on about his channel to Ashton last night on the phone, which Ashton found cute, but Luke was pretty sure he had only annoyed him.
"Yeah, sorry if that's a bit odd, but I tend to get too excited at times like this." Luke said, trying to help Skylar feel a little less creeped out. She nodded, then set her purse down on the armchair by Luke's couch. Luke double-checked the camera to make sure it was working properly, it was, so he gave Skylar a basic idea of what to say while they were recording "So really, just introduce yourself, and then I'll take it from there."
"Alright, but it might take me a few tries to actually get a good take." She giggled, and Luke rolled his eyes playfully. Luke pressed a button on the camera to record, and they started their video.
"Hi! If you have no idea who I am, I'm Luke Hemmings, and I like makeup." He laughed, waiting for Skylar to continue with the intro.
"I'm Skylar, and I like food." Skylar chirped, making a weird face at the camera.
"So some of you might know me from Instagram, or Twitter, and if you do know me from there you know that quite a few of you Sparklers have requested that I do some type of makeup tutorial, and I've been weary about it, but now, I feel like I should give it a try. I have recruited my friend Skylar here," Skylar waved to the camera, as Luke gestured towards her. "to help me with my hair and nail tutorials."
"Sparklers?" Skylar asked, chuckling.
"My followers are named Sparklers. Long story." Luke explained.
"Alright, so we'll also be doing fun little DIYs and maybe cooking?"
"I can't cook for shit so you'll be on your own for that one." Luke joked. "But really, this channel should be really fun, and maybe we'll even set up a vlog channel if that is something you guys would want to see."
"I've always wanted to vlog." Skylar remarked, as Luke nodded in agreement.
"Same. It always looks so fun when other YouTubers do it!" Luke exclaimed. He felt extra gay in that moment, but he didn't even care.
"Anyways, we hope you like our channel and videos! We should be doing weekly videos soon here, so make sure you subscribe to us, and follow our social media if you don't already. We'll post links to all that good stuff in the description below. Thanks guys!"
"Peace!" Luke and Skylar said at the same time, holding up a peace sign over their face for the outro. "That was good." Luke said, Skylar nodded enthusiastically.
