Bani trembled fearfully standing at the door of Balwant's study room. She looked at Veer when he took her hand in his. She tried to jerk his hand away but he held her tighter. Shivers ran down from her head to her toe thinking about what a nightmare it is going to be when Balwant learns that she is married to Veer. She looked at Veer and shook her head. Balwant noticed both of them. Holding Bani's hand Veer took her to his father.

"How dare you bring this girl in my house Veer. There is no place for her in Singhania Mansion. Ask her to get out or else I will call security." Balwant fumed in anger.

Veer did not say a word, just kept a file for Balwant to see. The file conveyed that Veer and Bani had got married in the court two hours ago. Daksh and Ponky had signed as witnesses. Balwant could not believe his eyes. He did not want to. He knew that Veer loved Bani like crazy but he had never expected him to get married to her against his will.

"I have chosen Bani as my life partner dad." Veer said when Balwant sneered angrily at Bani.

"The one I had chosen to be your wife was Mayuri." Balwant yelled at Veer. A loud slap followed that stung on Veer's face. Bani staggered back. She was scared out of her wits. "I thought my son was better than such a whimsical deed."

"I get it. Now that your sister is dead you thought of accomplishing your plan of trapping my son? Otherwise how will you be able to take advantage of him? You think you won? No you did not." Balwant charged aggressively towards Bani but Veer came in between both of them. Bani anxiously gripped on Veer's shirt. "I am going to kill this vile woman."

"No one can raise a finger at my wife forget about hurting her." Veer's palm against Balwant's chest stopped him from moving further. "She is trying to ruin your life Veer. What makes you think I will spare her?" Balwant roared. "Back off dad. Otherwise I assure you there will be consequences. You know my whim right?" Veer warned in a calm but dangerous tone.

"Marriage is not a joke Veer. How could you do this? I had given my word to Mayuri's parents. Does it mean nothing to you?" Balwant questioned.

"I have to the right to choose the person I want to spend my life with. You made a mistake dad." Veer spoke politely.

"What spell has she cast on you Veer? Why did you get married to her?" Balwant was at a loss of words.

"I married Bani because I wanted to. Because we love each other. And because she is pregnant with my child." The news of Bani's pregnancy came as a bolt from the blue for Balwant. He stood silently.

Veer stepped back. The reason the did not get married to Bani all these years is because of his disagreement He hated seeing what he saw. He would have never hurt his father in such a way had circumstances not been such. Right now, taking care of Bani was more important than anything his dad had to say. "I will leave the mansion as well as the businesses  if that is what you want me to do dad."

"No." Balwant stopped him. Everything that happened is too much to process for him. "I have lost Tapish. I don't want to lose you. Stay here with your family, " saying Balwant slumped in his chair. He felt very emotional. He lost had his son but he is going to be a grandfather soon. How much so ever he wanted to hate Bani, the girl was pregnant with the heir of his family.

Veer saw the servants take Bani's luggage to the guest room. He raised a brow. "What makes you think I am going to share a room with you Veer?" Bani asked with an irritable expression. "What makes you think I will welcome you in my room or in my bed after your deception and pretense of love?"

"You are going to stay with me in our room. I can tolerate the distance between our hearts, but not our rooms." He dragged Bani along with him to their even after her continuous protests and closed the door behind them.

"Let me go veer. You can't force me to stay with you against my will. It's wrong." She struggled in his grip.

"Our marriage is the most right decision i have made. You belong with me. In our room." He said bringing her closer. "Trust me when I say that I will handcuff you to the bed if you try to escape. You are stuck with me for the rest of our lives." He whispered into her lips. She tried to push him away but he held both her hands and took her in the walk in closet. She saw sindoor and mangalsutra kept on a dresser near the mirror.

"If you think by making me wear the sindoor and mangalsutra, you can assert your rights on me, then you are mistaken Veer. Marriages don't work like this. Trust is the basis of every relationship. The trust that you broke." Bani fought with him.

He kept a finger on her lips to shush her. "I know we are not on the same page but I am yours. My heart is yours. I refuse to live without you. And whether you like it or not right now, you are my wife." Veer filled the parting on her forehead with a pinch of sindoor and made her wear her mangalsutra.

"You are beautiful and you are mine. Only mine." He spoke while rubbing off the sindoor that had fallen on her nose. Realization dawned on her that he is right. This is as real as it can be. She is his legally wedded wife. Bani was not able to believe this truth. This is the most important relationship of her life. Their souls are betrothed. As much as he does, she also has a promise to keep. A promise of respecting the relationship, of taking care of him, of building a life together however difficult it gets.

"I am going to work. Will be home by 7 in the evening. Will have a word with your doctor and fix an appointment." He said and the trail of Bani's thoughts broke. She nodded absentmindedly.

"I love you." He said and left.
