It had been a week since the court trial, and Zayn couldn’t be happier. Nothing had changed in his and Madison’s relationship. If anything, it had only grown stronger.
And the best part?
Harry wasn’t allowed anywhere near him or Madison which Zayn was very thankful for. If Harry couldn’t love or protect him, then there was no way he could do the same for his daughter. Zayn would destroy himself if something were to happen to Madison.
He put that aside as he went to the door and opened it.
“You can’t be here otherwise I’m callin’ the cops.” Zayn threatened.
“Would you just listen to me?” Harry pleaded.
“Why should I? You’re trying to take my baby from me.”
“I just want to share custody of her. She deserves to be in my life and vice versa.”
“You don’t even know how to raise a child.”
“No, cuz you won’t let me.”
“Damn right I won’t.” Zayn smirked.
“Can’t you just give me a chance?” Harry tried again.
“I already did, and you broke it.”
“She’s my child.” Harry whispered.
Zayn looked down. He knew he was being selfish and irrational, but this was his daughter he was talking about.
His love. His pride and joy. The one thing keeping him going.
Zayn sighed. He was losing this battle and Harry knew it.
“So, does this mean we can split custody of her?” Harry asked, hoping Zayn would say yes.
Zayn sighed again. Letting Harry see Madison meant he would have to start letting Harry in, and Zayn wasn’t sure if he was prepared for that.
“Okay.” Zayn sighed.
