Surprise **

Wednesday

It is getting cold now. Though, inside the glass house, it is super warm and cozy. I am watching videos online on the tablet in the living room.

Shawn is at work as usual. Thankfully, he will have Friday and the weekend off this week. He says he has something planned for us. I can't wait!

A message notification pops in the screen. It is dad.

DAD: HEY, YOUR MOTHER HAS SOMETHING TO TELL YOU. CAN WE GO OVER?

My stomach cringes. Is it bad? Good? Oh man, I feel anxious.

I reply: YES OF COURSE

DAD: DON'T WORRY. WE LOVE YOU. SEE YOU TOMORROW.

I want to call them but he said it's fine. If it was something super serious, mom would have called me already. I should calm down.

"Madam,"

I turn to the side and see Julia, one of the two maids that helps Bonnie and Franky during the week.

"Yes?"

"Judith is here," she says. Then I see Judith walk in with a smile. She sits next to me and I hug her tight. "Glad to see you," I say.

"How have you been?" She asks.

"Good, and you? When can you know the sex of the baby?" I ask.

She looks down at her small round belly. Judith places her right hand on it. "Well, I am going to be four months, there's a chance to know, but until the second trimester I will know for sure," she answers.

She looks so beautiful and so delightful. I wish she will be happy along with the baby. I will help her in anything I can.

"Athena, are you alright?" Judith asks.

I nod. "Yeah yeah, just very happy. I'm happy that Shawn and I are doing great and that your baby is well."

"That's sweet of you girl, thanks," she gets my hands into hers. "I know you will be a mother once again. You will be the most awesome mom and Shawn will be such a great dad."

I smile wide, "Thank you." We hug and chuckle as tears fall down our cheeks. I hope she is right.

...

Judith and I talk about many things and we get closer. She is really a good human being and friend. We are saying goodbye since she has to pick up Gabriel from work.

"Say hi to Shawn for me," Judith says as she walks towards her car. I close the door and go to the kitchen. I see Bonnie and Julia cooking.

"Hey, just going to get water," I walk towards the refrigerator and get a water bottle.

"Do you want anything in particular?" Bonnie asks me.

"What are you making?"

"Homemade crab cakes with white rice, and veggies," she answers.

"Umm, no, everything sounds yummy." I walk out and open the bottle to drink. As I am walking upstairs, I start to feel dizzy. I hold on to the bar on the wall and yell for Julia. I sit on the step and try to breathe.

Julia comes running and asks what's wrong.

"I-I feel bad," I sigh. Oh man, I hate it. This isn't cool at all. The walls are closing on me. I can't breathe.

....

I start to get back my conscious. The ceiling gets fuzzy at first but everything looks clear in a second.
