Scarlett POV

I ended up not conjuring up enough courage to actually tall to Niall. We only made small talk and that was when i asked him if he was coming to my party. He told me he'd be there.

I was actually really excited about that. Maybe we could patch things up on my birthday. That all i really want anyways. Was to be good with Niall again. I still considered us to be pretty close, we just needed a break. I don't want to ruin our friendship.

Today was my party, and me and the boys were all in Texas. Luckily Courtney decided to go home for the week we were off so she can be with family. I haven't been in my Texas apartment since my Mum was still around. And being here brought back way to many memories.

I was putting away all the breakable stuff, because i know theres going to be alcohol, when my favorite song came on. Titanium by David Guetta.

"I'm bullet proof, nothing to loose, fire away, fire away," i sang loudly while turning up the radio. "Ricochet, you take your aim fire away, fire away"

I stopped singing feeling a presence behind me. I was about to turn around when two large arms were wrapped around my waist.

"Hello love" said his raspy voice. "Your voice is amazing."

"Thank you Harry, no please let me go. I have to put away these things so you drunken hooligans don't break them tonight." I said jokingly while wiggling put of his grip.

He chuckled and spun me around so i was facing him. There were now 3 boys in my house.

"Happy Birthday Scar!" Liam, Louis and Harry all said at the same time. 2 beautiful girls then walked into my apartment.

"Hi, you mist be Scarlett, i've heard a lot about you !, i'm Eleanor. " she said walking over to me and giving me a hug.

"Im Danielle," she introducing herself and also giving me a hug. "Liam couldn't stop talking about you, and your voice. Better not steal him away from me." She said winking at me.

"Awh, Liam's a great guy, and so is Lou, you girls are lucky to have them." I said smiling at each of them. "I'll show you guys to your rooms, follow me."

My apartment had 6 bedrooms. My father bought this as a vacation house, but we never really used it. Mine room was the most special though, i was a lot drawn to houses with balconies, and my room was the only room that had one. And it had an amazing view as well.

"Make yourself's at home." I said to each of the boys and there girlfriends.

"Hey Scar, can i talk to you. It's kinda important. " Louis said to me.

"Ya sure," i said leading him to my balcony.

"Um, i don't know how to put this, so i'm just going to come right out with it" he said pausing and looking out to my view. It was pretty mesmerizing. It was a huge lake with trees surrounding it. It was beautiful.

"Lou, what do you need to tell me?" I said snapping him back to reality.

"Niall's not staying here, he got a hotel in town. He didn't want it to be awkward between you too while he was here for the week." He told me.

I could feel my eyes welling up and a tear slipped down my cheek. I didn't know what to say. He felt uncomfortable around me. And it was my fault. I should've just manned up and talked to him.
