performing really is a rush I will that I will never get over. better than sex and drugs all together. a high I will always chase.

the crowd roars louder and louder as me and my two other bandmates walk towards the end of the stage for our closing bow looking out to the crowd with sweaty bodies and lazy smiles.

I swear we looked like we all just finished having sex.

however there was no sexual interaction here, we just finished performing our kick ass set at this kick ass music festival in front of this kick ass crowd. its times like this where I love my job.

also the word kick ass, I love that word too.

I stand in the middle of my bandmates locking hands with them as we simultaneously raise them up and down bowing down to the crowd soaking in all the chants and applause.

were going on tour soon in about 6 months and its blowing my mind how were going to play for crowds like this. 40 shows in 25 states is just mind boggling and the craziest part is almost all of our shows are sold out. 

we finally wave our last goodbyes to the crowd as we run off stage still full of adrenaline ready to talk about all the stupid shit we saw in the crowd.

its pretty fucking hilarious seeing how people act on drugs, lets just say that.

"hell fucking yeah! that was probably our best show yet. did you guys see that crowd? so sick" Isaac says screaming behind grabbing me by the shoulders pulling me back to him to hug me from behind.

" Isaac for fucks sake do you really have to hug me right now? seriously you look like you just went swimming with your pants on." I tell him yanking his hands off me.

Isaac is the lead guitarist of our band and he's also the most touchy. yes he is respectable but that man cannot keep his hands to himself, even if they were cuffed behind his back.

scratch that, especially  if they were cuffed behind his back.

"well sorrrrryyyyy I wanna show some gratitude towards our amazing lead singer. you seriously killed it tonight Lea the crowd definitely felt your energy" Isaac says turning me around and putting a hand on my shoulder

"Hes right, today was different you really gave everyone a show " Jackson says next to me grabbing a pre rolled joint from his back pocket.

"well thank you Jackson I really appreciate it." I throw my arm over Jackson then turning to Isaac throwing my arm over him as well " and you too Isaac seriously you guys did amazing tonight as well"

"yeah Jackson you really did do amazing tonight" Isaac ducks under my arm and moves to continue walking next to Jackson swinging his arm around him moving mine.
