24 Years Later

Rushing to meet the midground on the map.
His hands trembling while he ran holding No Turning Back.
Hunter leapt from around the corner drawing back the string.
He had the opposing enemy in sight!
In that moment, he let go.
And landed into a roll just around the other corner.
Hearing the ffllt of the arrow strike.
Then ding!

Shaxx calling out.
"POINT"!
Hunter slowly standing.
Still trembling from the adrenaline.
He took a deep breath before turning to walk back to their spawn.

Hunter entered the spawn zone.
Watching two bright flashes warp in.
He shielded his arm over his mask.
But, looked on as his two Freelance Survival Mates joined back in.
Though he said nothing.
He glanced at them both.
Getting ready for the next match by knocking an arrow once more.

Still, he stared at his trembling hands.
"Come on Hunter ... you can handle this".
After hearing the timer go down.
Hunter watched as the other two took off ahead of him.
Trying to read their movements and better follow them.

"YOU'VE BEEN KNOCKED OUT"!

Hunter turned!
Looking to the roster and seeing again, his teammate ate the dust.
It was just him and his two opposing enemies.
Muffling out his concerns and frustrations.
"Damnit".

Hunter heard the sound of the opposing Guardian's jump ability!
And quickly dodged back behind the nearest wall!
Leaving behind a bomb to pop up and flash white!
The explosion breaking the should of the approaching caped Guardian.
And though Hunter avoided the attack.
His eye's widened to the sound of Crimson!
Quickly trying to dodge the blind firing.
He'd jump up and not even pull back the arrow.
But let one loosely fly.
Doing just enough damage to knock out the opposing guardian!

Landing with a huff.
Hunter turned to the sound of rushing footsteps!
But, BASH!
Being shoulder charged suddenly.
His body flew back against the solid stone wall.
Shields broken and completely out!

The bell tolled.
Shaxx clapping over the com and congratulating the Titan on the comeback.
All while Hunter was warped back to the spawn zone.
Dropping to the dirt ground with a gasp.
Clutching his chest.
He could still feel the ruminants of the shoulder charge.
Having to shake his head to snap out of it.

He looked over at his two teammates.
Seeing them paying no mind.
Hunter clutched his bow again tightly.
Trembling not at much now.
But, he felt like he was on fire still.
Wanting nothing more then to blindly run.
Yet, he stayed firm and calm.
Following with his two teammates once the starter bell tolled.
