"Come on Kasami, keep up!" Laughed Uraraka, pulling me along by my arm as we ran down the hallway toward the dorm elevator.
In the elevator, Uraraka turned to face me, the smalls of her cheeks painted a light rosy-pink.
"How did your match with Bakugo go? You guys seemed to really be chatting it up out there, by the way." She said. "There is a video room where we can watch the matches, but the audio is muted."
"Well.." I began, clearing my throat. "It..uh.."
Suddenly the elevator doors opened as if to give me an out of the conversation.
"Aw man, looks like we'll have to continue this later." Sighed Uraraka, motioning toward the hall.
It was only then that I noticed our hands hadn't come apart until that very moment. And as soon as hers left mine, I longed for her warmth. I knew I shouldn't, and I knew I couldn't get too close to her, but I couldn't stop myself.
I shook the thoughts of her hands on mine from my brain as I stepped into the hall, Uraraka close behind.
"Here's your room. We had all of your things picked up and transferred ahead of time, so everything should be there. If you are missing something though, let Momo know, she's in charge of the girls dorm needs. And if you need anything else, even if it's just company, feel free to head over to my dorm. I'm the third room down from the end!"
"Thank you for everything, Uraraka. I appreciate it a lot." I waved to her as she stepped back into the elevator, blushing profoundly as she waved back, the doors slowly closing as the elevator lowered.
I opened the door to my room to see all of my bags sprawled out on the floor next to my plain white, tightly-made bed. I grabbed a bag and began unpacking, changing my bedsheets and comforter to a black set with a pattern black cats, which was actually a gift from Bakugo and I's relationship.
Usually I wouldn't keep things from old relationships, but to be fair it was a really comfortable bed set.
I continued unpacking and decorating, adding my clothes to my closet, which by the end of everything consisted mainly of sweaters and mom jeans. I also added a few movie posters around my room, as well as old records and sketches ripped out of the sketchbook I got from my mother as a child.
I reached into my last bag and pulled out an old family photo of my mom, my dad, and I and placed it on the white dresser next to my bed. I dug back into my bag and pulled out my tattered, forest-green journal and a pen, before taking a seat on my bed next to the nightstand photo.
I pressed down on the top of the pen, as it clicked underneath my fingertip, and began writing.
"Hi mom. Today was my first day at UA. I know how bad I wanted to go to Shiketsu, but after you left I really couldn't bring myself to go. I got into UA on only a recommendation though, so that's always a good thing, right? I made a few new friends today as well.
There's Tsu, she's really nice, and she has a frog quirk. Then there's Deku, he's really interesting, to say the least. His quirk is really similar to All Might from what I saw during the festival, but I'm not sure if it's similar enough to question him about it. There's also Todoroki, who is more reserved and less expressive than the rest of the group, but that's fine with me because I find his company calming enough on its own.
Oh, and I saw Bakugo again, too. At first I didn't think I was ready, especially after all that happened, but I think I'm slowly getting better. I think that soon I might even be able to forgive him.
Then there's Uraraka. She's a girl I met today, with short brown hair and pretty round eyes. She's a bit more energetic than the people I'm used to, but she's been really cool so far, and super nice to me. She sort of reminds me of myself before you left.
Anyway, I have to go now, I want to practice a bit of quirk training outside for a while before I head to bed. Goodnight, mom. I love you."
I close my journal and place it and the pen back on my nightstand, before changing into sweatpants and a crop top and walking out into the hallway. I step into the elevator and press the down button, tightening my laces as the shaft lowers. The doors open and I head outside to start my training.
I focus my attention to the empty space in front of me, lifting myself of the ground.
"Good." I thought to myself. "This is a good start. Now let's try a simple water tornado." I press my wrists together and spin them counterclockwise against each other, before pushing my hands out forwards, water rising from the ground and twisting high into the air.
Okay. Now let's use this water to practice straight shots. I slowly pull my hands back inward, the water dragging back into my palms, collecting right in front of them. It forms a large, airtight bubble, and I release quickly, forcing the ball forward. I release the water in small, sharp bursts, forcing the water forward as if the droplets were bullets. I gather the water again and ready my palms, turning them to face the same direction as my last shots, and then releasing.
As I released however, my body went limp once more and I lost my concentration, sending me flying backwards into a nearby tree on the outskirts of the forest.
Damn. Guess my body is still a bit weakened from earlier. Still, with a bit of sleep I should be better by tomorrow. I started to get up, but a voice from deeper in the forest caught my attention.
"Kasami, hey!"
I turned to see Uraraka walking toward me from the forest, still wearing her uniform.
"Hey, Uraraka. Yeah, I just wanted to train for a bit before I turn in for the night."
"Cool! I'm training too! Do you maybe want to practice together?" She asked, smiling.
"Sure."
"Alright, come on!"
She grabbed my hand and led me deeper into the forest, until stopping in the middle of a darkened clearing of trees and dead leaves.
"Hey, um..this looks kind of dark, maybe we should head back.." I turned and started walking back toward the dorm building, until in the midst of the darkness I ran right into a hard wall.
Although, upon further inspection I realized it was not a wall, but a person. A man, to be specific. He stood still, not moving, not even looking at me.
"Ah. Excuse me." I stepped sideways of the man, and started walking again, but he quickly placed a hand over my mouth and wrapped his other arm around my waist, pulling me backwards into what I could only describe as a pitch black vortex.
Everything happened so quickly, there was no time to scream for help, barely even time to process the situation alone. And by the time I did, it was too late.
I awoke in a pitch black room, my hands and feet tied to the arms and legs of a cold metal chair, the chilled backing pressed up against my lower back, sending shivers down my spine.
There was a blindfold tied around my head, and I could feel someone's presence in the corner across the room, staring at me intently.
"So..." I began. "I'm gonna go off on a limb here and guess that you guys are the League of Villains."
