"Yeah no shit, short stuff. Who else would it be?" Snarked an unknown voice from the corner.
"Well it was either that or a really bad surprise party planning committee." I joked.
"You think you're funny, huh?" Said the same voice.
"Eh, I consider myself quite the occasional jokester, sure. But let's get to the point, shall we? What do you want with me?"
"First, we don't have to tell you anything. And second-"
"Sorry to interrupt your little spiel, but could you maybe turn on the light? I'm not going to be able to focus on whatever it is you're saying if I can't even see you."
A blue ring of fire suddenly appeared around me lighting up the room, as the flames licked at my feet and fingertips. I looked up and was met by a man with dark black hair and ashy purple eyebags, and half-purple colored skin held together by staples bordering his face and chest.
"Oh shit wait. I know you, you're Dani!"
He looked at me with a straight face, unamused.
"No wait. That's not right. Maybe Derek. Nah, you don't really look like a Derek. Dave? No. Dan? I'm sure it starts with a D. Oh wait don't tell me....Dabi?"
He continues staring.
"Kind of a dumb name if you ask me. Can I call you D? I feel like we're at that point in our relationship. I'm gonna call you D."
"Are you done or should I burn you to death?" He says impatiently.
"My bad, D. Continue."
He rolls his eyes before speaking. "As I was saying, we don't have to tell you anything. But the reason you're here is because we want you to be our spy."
"Huh?"
"We plan on-wait what?"
"Why though."
"What do you mean why? Because we said so. And unless you want to die today, I suggest you comply with our orders." He says, nonchalant.
"What, you want me to pretend to be a UA student just so I can get intel on the heroes, and bring it back to you like some sort of damn dog?"
"Yeah. Glad you understand. Anyways.."
"Yeah I'm good."
"What?"
"I said I'm good."
"I'm not giving you a choice, you little asshole." He snapped. "Either you do it or I kill you."
"Okay, so kill me."
He eyes me up and down angrily, eyes filled with the same fiery blue as the flames surrounding me.
"Kill me then." I paused for a second, never breaking eye contact, only smirking at him cockily. "Exactly as I thought. You won't. You can't kill me. Not now at least. You know why?"
"Enlighten me."
"I'll tell you why." I leaned forward in my chair, my face only inches away from his. "Because you need me. Whether it be just as your little spy, to tell you all the valuable info on the heroes, or for something more. I'm not sure which one it is yet, and honestly I don't care enough to know. But here's what I'll tell you. I am no ones dog, and I'm sure as hell not yours. Let me go now and I'll forget this whole thing happened."
"Or else what? Maybe I'll kill you now, just for the fun of it. It would definitely get to those friends of yours, wouldn't it?"
"It doesn't matter what you say. I'm not going to join you. Not to mention, you're pretty bold for someone who's life I could end with just a magnet."
