Love on Trial

Immediately, you begin to panic.   Y/n:-"If Tae's fired, he'll have to move back to Seoul, which means we'll have to break up!"

But before you can think of the affect this'll have on your relationship, you spot Tae exiting his trailer. Ara whistles loudly, commanding everyone's attention.

Ara:-"It has come to my attention that some rumors have been circling around. To clear that up, no one is getting fired. Now, I'd like to remind all of you that this is a professional workplace, not high school. Get back to work."

Shree:-"We need to change the narrative."   You jump at your best friend's voice, who's appeared beside you.   Y/n:-"Shree! Where'd you come from?"   Shree:-"That's not important. Did you hear what I said? They need to change the narrative!"    Y/n:-"What do you mean?"

Shree:-"It happens all the time in movies. All they need is a bigger story to come out that'll take all the attraction away from this one."    Y/n:-"Shree... You're a genius!"

You push your way through the crowd of people towards Tae as the idea forms in your head. You ignore everyone and grab Tae's hand and pull him aside.

Tae:-"What's going on?"   Y/n:-"We need to announce that we're dating."   Tae:-"What?"   Y/n:-"We just need to change the narrative, Tae. If we announce our relationship publicly, everyone will start talking about that and stop talking about all the lies from the leaked story!"  

To your relief, Tae actually considers the idea.   Tae:-"Are you sure about this?"   Y/n:-"I am. Are you?"   Tae nods and squeezes your hand in that reassuring way of his. You pull Ara aside and fill in on the plan . She's on board too.

Ara:-"This is a great idea. I can have our PR team book you two an interview as early as tonight. But if you're going to tell everyone about your relationship, you need to start with these people."

Ara gestures to the crowd of crew members that are still standing by. You take a big breath, swallow your nerves, and face the sea of people watching you.

Y/n:-"Hi, everyone...I'm Y/n, owner of this Keep You Warm and current girlfriend of Kim Taehyung."   A few people gasp, and everyone begins to whisper. You feel Tae stand beside you, feel his arm around his waist, and suddenly, you find the courage to keep speaking.

Y/n:-"You're probably wondering why I'm telling you all of this..Tae and I are going to announce it publicly on Tv tonight, and we thought you all have the right to hear it directly from us. Hopefully this'll take the attention away from that other article, and we can begin production again."

At that, a chorus of cheers erupts from the crowd. A few people even yell out " CONGRATULATIONS!" and other encouraging words. You glance up at Tae, who's already watching you, smiling.

Ara:-"Production begins again tomorrow, everyone. Now go do something and stop standing around!"

Y/n:-"That went...well?"  Tae:-"At least now I can do this."   Tae scoops you in his arms and kisses you. For once, you don't wonder if anyone is watching. You simply kiss him back.

Later that day, you, Peter, Ara and Tae gather in his trailer to discuss the interview.

Peter:-"We've booked you two an interview on the Ellen Show tonight."  Ara:-"She's going to ask you two about the article that was leaked about Tae."   Peter:-"You two need to put on a good show. You need to convince the audience that Tae has changed."

Ara:-"We'll be waiting outside. Be out in fifteen, no later."    As soon as they leave you pull Tae close and kiss him softly.   Y/n:-"I know how much your career means to you. I wasn't going to stand by and let it be destroyed."    Tae:-"I love you."
