A Temporary Goodbye

 The next morning, while eating breakfast with Shree, you notice everyone's mood seems to have improved.

Y/n:-"That interview was a real game changer."   Shree had her eyes on her phone all morning, doesn't seem to hear you.   Y/n:-"Texting someone cute?"

Shree:-"What? Oh! Wait, you don't know why everyone is so happy?"    Y/n:-"Uh, no."   Shree:-"It's because tomorrow is their last day of work."    Y/n:-"What!!"    Shree:-"Filming is wrapping tomorrow, then everyone's out of here."

Shree:-"How did you not know that? You own this place and you're the movie's star actor!"  Shree shakes her head disapprovingly.  Y/n:-" Our time together flew by so quickly."

Shree:-" This will cheer you up: People online are freaking out about you two!"  Y/n:-"For real?"     Shree:-"Yes! Your face is basically front-page news."   Y/n:-"Omo, M so happy that we finally cleared the false rumors about Tae."    Y/n:-"I'll go find him."

You clean up your table and head to Tae's trailer. 

Ten minutes later, you've filled Tae in on everything that the public are talking about.   Tae:-"Woah, I can't believe how soon they accepted us."    Y/n:-"Yes."

Y/n:-"Can we talk about how filming is wrapping up tomorrow?"   Tae's face falls. He loops his hands around your waist and pulls you close.    Tae:-"These weeks have gone by too fast."

Y/n:-"Seriously. It feels like just yesterday that you were annoying the hell out of me."   

Y/n:-"What are we going to do?"    Tae:-"I could keep messing up the scenes, so we have to film for a few extra days?"     Y/n:-"Something that won't make everyone hate you?"    Tae brushes a kiss across your forehead.    Tae:-"Maybe we shouldn't think about that just yet, Y/n."

The next morning, you're busy in your office. Filming has ended and everyone will be gone soon.

You're looking thought the week's logged work hours and prepping employee checks when Tae walks through the door.   Y/n:-"Taetae!!!"

You forget all about work for a minute and rush over to him.   Tae:-"Hey, angel."  You crash into his chest. Tae laughs, picking you up and twirling you through the air.

Y/n:-"I'm almost done here, then we can go get lunch! What about that pizza place we ordered from last night?"  You keep naming the restaurants, but Tae doesn't seem to be listening.

Y/n:-"Tae, is something wrong?"   He stuffs his hands into his pockets and walks to the window. When he turns back , he looks devastated.    Tae:-"We finished filming last night, Y/n."

Y/n:-"I know, you were amazing."   Tae walks up to you and takes your hands in his.   Tae:-"We're done filming, which means I'm going back to Seoul tomorrow."     Y/n:-"You're leaving tomorrow?"  Tae:-"I am."     Tae take your face in his hands.

Y/n:-"I really thought we had more time. How did the weeks pass by so quickly?"   Tae:-"Those were the greatest weeks of my life."   You wrap your arms around Tae and hold on as tight as you can.   Tae:-"Don't be sad, Y/n. We still have today."

You're flooded with hope. You still have twenty-four hours together.  Y/n:-"Right. How should we spend our last day together?"    Tae:-"However you want to."  Y/n:-"But let's agree to not think about tomorrow yet okay?"   Tae drops a kiss to your lips.   Tae:-"Agreed."

As you and Tae prepare for your final day together, you're quickly interrupted by Tae's agent.

Peter:-"All packed?"    Tae:-"Haven't started."   Peter:-"What do you mean you haven't started? We're supposed to be on jet in two hours!"   You and Tae gasp.

Tae:-"Two hours?"   Y/n:-"I thought you were leaving tomorrow."  Peter:-"We were leaving tomorrow afternoon until I booked you an interview on SBS for tomorrow morning. You'd know that if you ever checked your phone, Tae."

Tae:-"It's my last day with my girl. I'm not wasting time on my phone."   Peter:-"We need to be back in Seoul by tonight. Get your things together-we're leaving in two hours."

Peter storms off, unbothered by the chaos he's just caused. You turn to Tae, who looks equally dumbfounded.  Tae:-"Y/n..."   Y/n:-"What do we do?"    Tae:-"I don't know."

As badly as you want to sulk around, protest, and try to prolong your time together, it's just not possible. Tae has to get on a plane in two hours, and you don't have a single moment to waste complaining.

Y/n:-" You have to pack... I'll meet you by the limo at five?"   Tae kisses your cheek.  Tae:-"See you then."   

Exactly two hours later, you and Tae are standing outside the Keep You Warm ,watching his bags getting loaded into the limo. You let all your tears out.

Tae:-"Oh, don't cry, angel. We'll be fine."  When Tae reaches for you, you collapse into his arms. You don't know how long it'll be until you can see him again.

Tae:-"I'll call you when I land, okay?"   You only nod, knowing that if you try to speak, you'll turn into sobbing mess. You take a long, deep breath to center yourself.

Tae:-"Hey, we'll figure out this long-distance thing, Y/n. We'll make it work."   Tae kisses you, and you're taken back to that first day when you laid together on the grass, gazing up at the stars. You're grateful for the short time you had together.

Tae:-"I love you. I'll see you real soon."   You stand on your toes and kiss him one last time.  Y/n:-"I love you."   You watch as Tae gets into the limo. You wave goodbye one last time. When the car drives off, you can't hold it together. The tears come, strong as waterfalls.

The following morning, you wake up with a positive attitude. You're eager to jump back into work. You sent him a few texts already but haven't heard back yet. You know he's just busy with all the interviews he has lined up.

Walking through the corridor is jarring. Without the film crew lounging around, the place is eerily quiet.

You're looking outside the window at the newly empty parking lot when Shree runs in, laptop in hand.

Shree:-"Y/n!!!!!!"   Y/n:-"Omo omo. What's up?"   Shree:-"Everything! Everything is up!"   Y/n:-" How many cups of coffee have you had?"   Shree rushes to your side.

Shree:-"Last night, I updated our website saying we're open again for bookings, and.."   Shree shows you her laptop screen. You gasp.

Y/n:-"Is that.."   Shree scrolls through what appears to be hundreds of emails from guests, inquiring about booking a stay.  Y/n:-"Is that real? How?"    Shree:-"I think the word got out that this is where Tae filmed his movie! We'll be booked solid for months."   You let out a loud scream, punching your fists in the air.

Another day flies by. You've been in much better spirits. You've been working all morning and have responded to over half the emails. When you officially reopen the Keep You Warm next week, you'll be fully booked for the next three months. 

You fire off another text to Tae. The messages and missed calls are building up- he hasn't responded to a single one. You're smiling wide when you receive a facetime call.

Y/n:-"It's Tae!"  You quickly accept the call.

 On Call

Tae:-"Hey baby!" 

Y/n:-"Hii!! I miss you so much!"

Tae:-"I miss you too, angel. Things have been crazy here, I haven't had a minute alone. What are you up to?"   You quickly fill him in on everything that's happening.

Tae:-"That's amazing! The movie premiere is next week.. And I want you there as my date."

Y/n:-"Really?"

Tae:-"Hell yeah. What do you say? Will you let me fly you into the city? We can spend some time together."
