Awkward won't even begin to describe how I feel right now. There is nothing your parents can do to prepare you for a situation like this. I followed Liam's instructions and went to the coffee house in 30 minutes. Well I've been sitting in this damn booth for 20 minutes now and he keeps staring at me, a crooked smile across his face. I don't know what's going through his head but it certainly seems to be entertaining him.

I sip at my coffee and try to avoid making eye contact. He clears his throat and I peek a glance up at him through my lashes. "Come here often?" He smiles suggestively. My eyes widen in shock.

Before I can further respond a hand hits him upside the back of his head, producing a loud thud and groan from the old man sitting two booths down from me. I look up to my saviour of the situation and see Liam standing in front of him, glaring. He looked like the fucking hulk, he could crush anything in his path. His shoulders were tense and biceps bulging as he curled his hands into fists. "Keep away from my girl you dirty old bastard." He strides over to me with the sweetest of smiles and sits opposite me in the booth. Two seconds ago he was a defensive monster and in the blink of an eye he looks like a cupcake. What even?

"Umm... Hi?" I ask him. He's just staring at me and smiling. I must have this kind of effect on men today. This never happens.

"Hi beautiful." He rests his chin on his hand and continues to stare at me, making me blush slightly. I sip at my coffee more and ask him why he texted me to meet up. "Am I not allowed to have coffee with a friend? What's wrong with that Eliana?"

"Eloise." I correct him.

"Eloise. Sorry. But aren't I allowed to have coffee with you?" He questions. Taking a swig of water from a glass the waitress just poured him. What happened to him kicking me out, saying he doesn't do that sort of thing anymore? He said it got him in some kind of trouble.

"You were the one that kicked me out, remember?" I remind him, surely he can't be that clueless.

"Well yeah but that was a mistake," he explains, fiddling with his lip ring that looks oh-so good on him. "Ever since it happened I keep seeing you everywhere and I can't stop thinking about you. I think you're beautiful, and sweet. I said to you that I don't do one night stands anymore because it got me into some trouble a while back. So it got me thinking and I don't want to leave you as a one night stand." I stared at him, not blinking, not responding in any way. Just processing. "I'd like to take you out on a date." He what? He wants to what? He's gone mad, surely. Before I can speak he leans across the table and presses his lips to mine. His hands find their way to my hair and pull me closer. After the shock of it I find myself kissing him back, gripping his wrists. He pulls away after a short moment and smiles at me, breathing heavily. My head is spinning with a nice buzz.

Liam is still in a close proximity and just smiling, staring at me. I smile back and give a light laugh. What just happened? He pulls his hands from my hair and sits back in his side of the booth, a satisfied smile across his face. "Let me walk you home." He says, standing up and offering me his hand.
