The Invasion [Bakudeku]

Ch. 3

Most of Earth was on fire, rubble littering the area, and completely deserted. Survivors hid in underground bunkers and only went up to the surface when absolutely necessary. Many militaries were working to try and drive the aliens away. Australia was still fine though, their fires were unrelated. (Oof)

UA was still thriving, but not as a school, as a safe zone and vital base for giving out information. Many students rotated patrol, making sure no aliens ever got into the secret tunnels. This night, in class 1-A, it was Izuku, Bakugou, and Shoji's turn. Shoji stood by the door to their bunker room as Izuku and Bakugou patrolled the halls. They met up a few times while on route but didn't talk much, it was important to stay quiet. Most people were sleeping and the aliens had great hearing. At one point, Eri got up and visited Deku, giving him a hug and some water. Then, the little bean went back to bed.

Everyone was on edge inside the base of the AFO Mafia. Shigaraki was busy working out an agreement with UA, an alliance to get them protection from the aliens and access to information. The others hoped it would work. "Yes!!!", Shigaraki exclaimed. This meant UA accepted their terms and was willing to call a truce. All the Mafia needed to do now was make it to UA safely. "This shouldn't be too hard!", Twice said cheerfully. Everyone glared at him, it was his fault they were in this mess in the first place!

Toga made sure to bring her knives, Dabi had a lighter in his pocket and a gun in one hand, Twice put on running shoes, and Shiggy supplied himself as well as everyone else with daggers and guns with silencers. They traveled through the rubble quietly, above the surface. They stuck low to the ground and went under and through tunnels and hallways created by large pieces of wall that fell from buildings that once stood high. They were only 2 blocks away from UA now. Suddenly, an alien leapt at Toga, jaws opening wide. She sliced it with her knife, allowing purple blood to trickle to the ground, but the cuts weren't deep enough to kill it. Spinner, the guy with the spinning nunchucks that nobody remembered inviting into the Mafia, distracted it and sacrificed himself so the others could get away. Nobody really liked him but he died nobly, and it would not be in vain.

They finally made it to UA, slipping through the metal door leading them through the twisting tunnels. Aizawa stood next to Shoji and once the AFO Mafia was in sight, he dismissed the student. Shigaraki greeted Aizawa and shook his hand but the tension from their glared was so thick you could cut it with a chainsaw! Izuku and Bakugou made their way back as Kaminari and Hagukure stepped out for their turn of patrol. Deku and Bakugou were shocked to see the very same Mafia that they were investigating before the whole invasion thing, but understood that something was going on when they saw Aizawa shake Shigaraki's hand. Weird, where was AFO himself? As if on cue, a talk man with a classic black mask walked in. AFO.

Deku tensed up a little, being in the same room as Toshi's sworn enemy was awkward. Not to mention, the guy literally kills people for a living. Bakugou couldn't believe UA was partnering with the OFA Mafia but desperate times call for desperate measures. It was weird and he could tell Deku was super uncomfortable but he still said nothing.

Things had been weird between the two after Deku cried in Bakugou's arms. And, oh yeah, they had slept in the same bed the night before, cuddling and everything. Nobody said anything because they had more important things to worry about but everyone noticed. Awkward feelings all around today I guess.

Bakugou and Izuku headed into the bunker room as Aizawa talked with the Mafia members. They climbed back into the same bed again, not admitting that sleeping side by side made them feel safer. Deku hugged Bakugou and Bakugou rested his head on Deku's. They fell asleep pretty quickly and awoke to a crying Kirishima. "What happened?!", Deku asked. Inko rubbed her son's shoulders to try and ease up his nerves and prepare him for the bad news. Bakugou sat silently as his mother gave him a sympathetic glance before going back to braiding Eri's hair. "Last night, while on patrol, Testutetsu and Kaminari went missing.", Kirishima said. "What?!", Deku yelped.

No one could say for sure they were dead but that's what everyone was thinking. The Mafia members were now staying in class 1-A's bunker room. It was getting quite crowded in there. Patrol rotations were sorted, beds were assigned, food was counted and managed, supplies were distributed, and everyone received 1 surface task. A surface task was exactly what it sounded like, you had 1 task that required going up to the surface. Most were about rescuing, food, water, and patrol. A few were about other things though. Deku's task was coming up soon, and so was Bakugou's. They would have to venture to the surface together and try not to die. Eri was currently doing her task, her task was simple.

She went to the metal hatch and made sure it was unlocked but closed and then came back immediately. It was taking longer than usual though, what could she possibly be doing up there?! It was too dangerous to play around. Then she walked through the doors holding somebody's hand.

Aliens swarmed around the area Tetsutetsu was in. He and Kaminari had gone up to the surface during patrol to get s treat for the puppies and kittens. And the other animals of course! But things had turned sour quickly, and now he couldn't find Kaminari anywhere. As he turned a corner in the pet store rubble, he saw blood seeping under the door to the back room staff area. He started panicking and rushed in to see... melting doggie ice cream, not a body. Not Kaminari! Phew. He had quite a scare there.

He had gotten too distracted by the doggie ice cream, an alien was now behind him and he was clueless. Until, that is, he saw it's reflection in the ice cream puddle. He leaped out of the way just in time. He saw an iron rusted rod in the rubble and picked it up to defend himself. He could see ,now, that he wasn't too far from UA. The pet shop was in view sight of the Police Academy! He used the iron rod to block an attack from the alien. It was almost like a punch. If only he spoke Spanish, he could reason with it instead of fighting! Oh well. He jammed the rod through the alien's heart. Purple guts and blood spilled onto the floor as Tetsutetsu ran for UA and prayed that Kaminari was safe. He burst into the tunnels, closing the hatch behind him and running towards the 1-A bunker to see if Kaminari had made it back yet.
