I place my hand on my stomach. The little baby was quite a mover. I smiled down at them. They were perfect already. I'm glad I didn't give up on them so easily.
"Morning babe." Justin hugged me from behind and kissed my cheek.
"Good morning Justin." I replied.
"How's my little angel doing?"
"They're doing great. They've been moving a lot lately." I chuckled.
"Great, maybe they'll be here soon." Justin smiled.
I nodded. Maybe they'll be here soon. Maybe my angel, my lifesaver will be here soon. Nobody can take this baby joy away from me. Nobody.
"Mommy help!" The little girl yelled as she was being pulled away, she reached her arms out to me.
I shook my head, tears forming my eyes. "I can't baby."
The little innocent eyes stared at me. The innocent, helpless eyes. Who would be cruel enough to ruin such a gorgeous thing?
"Kaitlyn?" Justin walked in and I caught myself staring at the wall. Daydreams.
"Oh, hi Justin." I said.
"What's up?"
"I-was just daydreaming. Nothing really."
Justin shrugged, "Alright. Your mom wanted me to show you another outfit she's sewn for the baby." He said holding up a cute little white onesie with a little duck on it.
"Aww," I let out, "They can be a little duck."
Justin chuckled, "Yeah."
I sighed, "I'm hungry."
"Want me to make you something babe?" He asked.
I nodded cutely, "Please."
"Anything you're craving?"
"Can you make cupcakes?" I smiled.
Justin nodded, "Sure." He said and smiled, turning into the kitchen.
Then suddenly my phone was buzzing, "Kaitlyn where have you been lately? I haven't seen you around town." I read the text on my screen. I looked at the name. It read the name of my ex, Connor.
