It was new year's Nina was bringing Ameila back to Ian's. She knocked on the door Nikki came and opened it. She hadn't known when Nina was supposed to be bring Amelia back."Nina? Ameila?"

"Did he tell you that i took her?" Nina didn't know if Ian had shared that with her. And she didn't want it to be a surprise.

Nikki nodded she knew that Nina had wanted to spend the holidays with Amelia. But she wasn't sure if they were going to come back before or after new years. "Yes but he never gave a return date come in." They were friends and she figured that Nina wouldn't want to just leave Amelia there. She and Ian did have to talk since they had a daughter. That they co-parented

Nina walked in carrying Amelia she was happy that she had been able to spend some time with her daughter. "Is he here? Please tell me he is not gone again." She was always irritated when he wasn't there cause that meant that she had to wait until he got home. And considering she was sure that she would never really get over her feelings from him. It made it awkward not that she would really tell them that.

"He is he went to go get things for New Years." Nikki knew that he had knew that date she was bringing Amelia was coming back but had not been sure whether Nina was going to actually bring her back at that specific date.

"Of course he did." She really should have figured that out when she seen that his car was not there. Now she hated to wait until he got home so she could talk to him.

"Why don't you stay?" Nikki was pretty sure that she didn't have anything that she had to do for the holidays. And it would be great to have another girl around.

Nina didn't think that was the best idea especially considering the circumstances. "I don't-"

"Please tell me you don't have plans." If she didn't have plans than she could at least enjoy her New Years. And she had been traveling a lot so it beat getting on another plane.

"No i don't but i can't ruin your New Years i'm just here to drop her off." She had one task to do and she really didn't want to detour from that.

"Please stay it will be nice to have someone else here." It was always nice to have a friend around and they had once been really great friends before everything and she wanted to try and get back to that.

"Sure why not i can stay but i can't cook." She had never been the best cook and she was not about to pretend that she was now. She was better off doing nearly anything else.

"Can you bake?" Nikki knew that some people who couldn't cook were great bakers.

"I can follow a recipe." She couldn't mess that up luckily.

"Did she nap?" She knew that if Amelia was napping they would be able to bake different desserts.

"Nope." She had tried to keep her up the plane ride knowing that he would probably want her up at midnight for New Years.

"How about we lay her down he gave a few of his recipes for desserts." Nikki wanted to try to make some of them so that he didn't have much to do when he got home.

"Alright." It sounded like a plan the two bake while Amelia took a nap.

When Ian got home he seen Nina's car outside he knew that she had a thing about coming and not telling anyone that she was coming. He got the few bags that he had going to the door and unlocking it. When he walked in he sat the bags down he could hear Nikki and Nina laughing in the kitchen. He walked over standing against the doorway watching the two.

"And this is why he never let me in the kitchen." Nina looked down at herself she had a lot of floor chocolate and the other ingredients that they were using all over her and over Nikki. But they were having fun.

"Never." Nikki looked at her shocked but she sort of understood it.

"I was more i can clean but i can't cook and i always make a mess when i am baking." She understood why he didn't let her cook or bake or help him he also always told her she was a huge distraction. They had burnt multiple things because of that.

"But we got all the batters done cookies cake cheesecake the piess its all done." Nikki reminded that was the best part although they made a huge mess they did accomplish what they needed to.

"Your right." They did accommplish there tasks for the day. They got everything prepped and ready to be baked and everything would be ready by the time it was all needed. Nina felt something against her foot. She looked down to see Moke. She had really missed her old cat. This was her first baby and she missed him more than anything. "Aww." She picked him up stroking his fur. She was happy that he recognized her. "I missed you i swear i come this cat is sleeping."

"Really," Nikki knew that Moke liked to fall asleep at random times. But she couldn't imagine everytime Nina would eb coming he would be sleep.

"Yeah?" Nina knew that it was hard to believe she had contemplated waking him up multiple times.

"What are you two doing?"

They both jumped turning to see Ian standing against the doorway. Neither had noticed that he was right there.

"When did you get here?" Nina had always hated when he would just appear out of nowhere. it always scared the crap out of her.

"Few minutes ago."

She knew what was coming next but technically she had already warned Nikki that she was never allowed to be in the kitchen for this reason. "I know i am not allowed to bake cause i always make a mess but she insisted."

Nikki nodded she had forced Nina into doing this and both of fthem had a blast. And it wasn't like it was going to be a hard clean. She knew that it could have ended up being much worse. "It was really fun and we got everything Cheesecakes in the fridges cookies dones cakes in the oven and Pies go in next."

Nina put Moke back on the floor as Ameila started to crying signaling that she was now awake. "I am going to get clothes and grab her i am covered in baking ingredients."

She was now changed and bouncing Ameila on her lap as Nikki and Ian set the table. She had offered to help but neither would let her. "You know i could help right."

"No you are a guest you are not helping." Nikki had invited her to come over and she wasn't going to make her do anything after having her help.

"Fine." Nina knew that she was not convincing her anytime soon. And they were almost done now so there was really no point.

When they finished setting the table they went and sat on the couch with Nina Ian stealing Amelia from her. "Hey!" She liked holding her especially since she knew that she was going to have to go back to filming soon.

"So how was your week?" They did wonder where Nina took Amelia this time. They both knew how much Nina liked to travel.

"I took her to disney land." She had never had time to go there so she figured why not spend christmas there with her  daughter. And it had been really fun.

"You fly with her more than i do." Ian knew that traveling had always been her thing. And he was happy that his daughter got to experience those things with her mother.

"Of course i do. I travel more than you in general you just now figuring that out." She could never really stay in one place traveling was always her get away and she loved doing the different things with her daughter.

Nikki chuckled lightly she could agree with that she had always loved seeing the places that Nina went. "She does travel more than you so did you take pictures."

Nina smiled nodding she had to make sure that she could show Amelia the pictures when she was older. "Yes i did we were there all week its beautiful in the winter I got some with her with mickey minnie donald some more characters i can't quite remember walked around she has a few baby outfits and headbands in the  bag that i brought."

"Well that must have been fun." Nikki knew that children loved meeting the people they grew up watching.

"Yeah it took her awhile to realize that they weren't trying to hurt her but it was fun." She knew that at first Amelia was scared when meeting them but she quickly adjusted and had fun seeing them.

These were the times that Nina liked although she knew her jealousy would always be there. She was happy that her daughter was in good hands. She was happy that he was happy.
