Evening had arrived, all the families had made their way to the local diner for dinner.

Mackenzie sat in between Johnathan and Greg. Everyone was shuffling in to get a seat. Keithie wanted to sit beside his father but the Lenny wanted to sit beside his friends.

"Lenny, remember we used to come
here late night after we got wasted?" Marcus said, remembering the good old' days, but forgetting that he was sat at a table surrounded by children.

"What's "wasted"?" Donna asked.

Mackenzie shook her head at the man's stupidity, sometimes he said too much information in front of the children.

"Nice one, Higgie." Lenny sighed, trying to figure a way to get out of this one.

""Wasted." kids..." Marcus said, before hesitating, trying to think something up, "...is something that happens..."

"when you have a hankering
for ice cream." Concluded Johnathan, Marcus shot him a grateful look.

Only, it didn't go too well. The children started shouting how they wanted to get wasted. Mackenzie laughed shaking her head, everyone in the restaurant was looking at their table like they were crazy, which in a way they were.

"That didn't go as planned," Johnathan sighed, facing the girl. Mackenzie giggled, causing Johnathan to pretend to be offended.

Roxanne turned to Becky, "No, you don't need to get wasted, it's okay."

Becky's face fell in disappointment, Mackenzie leant down the table, "Becks, i'll get you chocolate ice cream tomorrow okay?"

Johnathan couldn't help but admire how good Mackenzie was with Becky. Becky looked up to her big sister like she was the world, showing Johnathan that the way they acted with each other must be normal for the two girls.

He wrapped his arm around Mackenzie's waist, she looked up with wide eyes before smiling.

The men down the table, were trying hard not to laugh at their children shouting about wanting to get wasted.

The waitress arrived at their table with a strange look on her face, meaning she must have heard the shouts of the children.

"All right, you know what, let me make this easy. 19 burgers
and 19 fries, okay?" Eric said, clasping this hands together, "And that'll be just for me. What are you guys having?"

Mackenzie giggled at the man, now he had a sense of humour she could relate to.

"That's for everybody. Just put it on that." Eric said handing the waitress a card.

All the adults shouted their protests to him paying, before they were interrupted by Mama Ronzoni.

"I am not gonna have any hamburgers, I'll take some meat loaf, some calzones," Mama Ronzoni started, "but put the marinara sauce on the side, with corn, either on the cob or whatever you got."
