"Favourite colour?" Mackenzie asked. The two were going back and forth asking each other questions to get to know each other better.
"Green. You?" Johnathan responded.
"Blue. Favourite movie?" Mackenzie questioned.
"Anything marvel, personal favourite would have to be the spider-man movies. What's yours?" Johnathan said.
"Harry Potter, anyone of them, I can't wait for the last one to be released." Mackenzie answered, smiling excitedly.
Johnathan smiled softly at her excitement, it made him fall for her even more than he already was, and as if he could fall any further.
Their conversation was quickly interrupted by the paddling of small feet running into the room, followed by sniffles.
The two turned around to see Becky standing in the doorway crying.
They abruptly sat up and patted the bed for her to sit beside them. She climbed up on the bed and sat in Johnathan's arms still crying.
"What's wrong Beckster?" Johnathan asked the small girl in his arms, whilst cuddling her closer to himself.
"M-mommy said that she would put money under my p-pillow," Becky cried into Johnathan's chest, staining his t-shirt with tears of sadness. "The tooth fairies not real?"
"Becks, when your on holiday or away from home the tooth-fairy can't find you. So they ask mommy's and daddy's to collect your teeth for them and put some money under your pillow. The tooth-fairy is very real." Johnathan reassured the young girl.
"Really?" Becky said looking up towards the two teens, with her big doe eyes glistening from tears. Her little cheeks were bright red and had tear stains running down them.
"Really," Mackenzie nodded. She couldn't believe her mother would say such a thing to Becky, whose childhood wasn't even halfway over yet, but somehow her mother had almost ruined it.
Becky finally allowed a smile to slip across her face, before she hugged the two teenagers tightly and kissed their cheeks.
