If you hadn't noticed, oikawa is a self-assured guy. He recognized that he was the "best" at anything he did.

oikawa huffed, pouting like some sort of child when his son brought up kenma.
Kenma's presence for you and Rin over the last six years left him envious. Is it possible that the fact that kenma was more of a father figure to rin than oikawa, hurt him? I mean, oikawa was out fucking having a good time when you were having the time of your life with kenma and rin.
Just when Oikawa was about to retrot with a childish retort, he heard footsteps approaching the toilet. As the door creaked open, he turned his attention to it.

a tiny white tote bag filled with essentials like spare shirts in hand, just in case Rin decides to ruin his current outfit. the sandwiches, which had been neatly packed in zip lock bags. your wallet was also kept inside, along with a lanyard that included the house keys, car keys, and a few keychains.
"ready to go yet you two?" you said, tilting your head in confusion at the look of pure admiration on the male's face. scrunching your nose lightly, you glanced at rin who was proudly admiring himself in the mirror. lifting your hand up to oikawas face you ran it side to side. "earth to tooru?" you said in a confused tone
the setter blinked a few times, snapping right back into reality as he realized he had been staring. well that's embarrassing..
"what..oh yeah sorry y/n chan, yeah I just got rin ready! how does he look? handsome huh?" oikawa exclaimed proudly, a snarky grin tugged onto his lips.
rolling your eyes, you reluctantly nodded. smiling down at the child, rin seemed pretty happy with his outfit of the day aswell. "you ready to go rin? you were pretty excited about it yesterday!" you spoke, watching rin excitedly nod in agreement.

the car ride was somewhat..interesting, oikawa had to beg you to take his car instead of yours because "it was bigger and had more room for you to your things in the back". though, you know he wanted to take his care because it would cool cooler in rins eyes.
Rin sat in the back of the car for the 40-minute drive. He was strapped into the car seat, a phone in hand, trying to take his mind off the long and tedious trip ahead of him. oikawa sat in the drivers seat, one hand snaked on the steering wheel. you, right beside him in the passengers seat.
glancing back a few times to try and make sure rin was doing alright, you kept the tote bag in your lap. grabbing a sandwich bag out , and holding the bag out for rin. "rin, lets eat first hm? then we can play on the phone" you had always tried to restrict the screen time rin got, since he was still young. finding it unhealthy to be on devices for a long period of time at such a young age.
after a few retorts, rin gave in. giving oikawas phone back to his mother, and taking the bag into his small hands.
you took the phone back, smiling softly and placing it in your bag per oikawas request.

while handing the brown-haired male his sandwich, he shook his head. causing you to cock a brow, wondering why he declined.
"I'm driving y/n, I can't eat it while driving can I? it isn't safe. so....how about you feed me it?!" oikawa beamed happily, glancing towards you before immediately turning his attention back at the road.
"what." you said unamused, as deadpanned as always.
"you should feed me! ahh.." oikawa said, opening his mouth as an indication for you to feed him.
you stared at the male, wondering if he was serious or not. before hesitantly taking the sandwich out of the bag, and placing it into his mouth. earning a hum from oikawa.

'I can't believe I'm actually doing this.' you thought to yourself, the sandwich in your hand almost half gone while the setter happily chewed on his food beside you.
"y/n chan!! water too please?" oikawa asked, seeing how far he could push this.
god he's just toying with you now isn't he? you had no absolute patience for this.
you groweled loudly, using your free hand to grab the water bottle in your bag. twisting the cap open and directing it in front of his mouth.
shrugging, you poured a bit onto his outfit, knowing it'd tick him off a bit
