oikawas jaw dropped dramatically when you "accidentally" spilled water onto his neat outfit.
it was unexpected, to say the least.
the inner corners of your lips tugging into an innocent smile as you just shrugged.
"oops" were the only words you had to say.
it was amusing to watch oikawa stress out about something so insignificant. though, on the other hand, oikawa didn't find it as hilarious as you did.
puffing his cheek out slightly, he pouted.
giving you the silent treatment the whole ride
god, he was one childish man.

you caught a glimpse of the carnival as the car got closer and closer to it. The brilliantly colored lights that glowed brightly on the rides, standing out like a sore thumb.
as the car had pulled into the crowded parking lot, you had climbed out. the sweet aroma of carnival food filling your senses almost immediately. the screams of children on rides echoing from the distance.
this actually brought back memories, of when your mother and father used to take you as a child.
you spending money on those scam carnival games.
you actually won a goldfish once and were very proud of the fact, but the goldfish ended up dying a few days after. guess this is why you don't give an 8 year old a goldfish huh?
you were practically devastated when you woke up, seeing goldie dead in his tank. spending weeks crying over it too.

you walked up to the side door and carefully opened it, revealing rin, who had been patiently waiting for you to come grab him out of his car seat.
which he insists he doesn't need anymore, because he's a "big boy now".
once you started removing the small child from the large, bulky car seat oikawa walked across to the opposite side of the car, opened it, and took your bag out, slung it over his shoulder.
then making his way over towards you to see if you needed any help.
"need any help y/n chan?" he asked, peering over your shoulder as his gaze was met with the same hazel eyes.
"oh so you're talking to me now tooru? what happened to being mad at me for spilling water on you?" you taunted playfully, laughing as you placed rin down.
"hey! i was just mad because I spent a long time on this outfit is all!" oikawa retorted back defensively, leading an arm down to pat rins head.

rin had held onto the end of your shirt as you'd started wandering in the direction of the carnival. the bright flashing lights reflecting off rins chocolate eyes.
glancing down at the child, who'd look curious at the new environment he was in. you spoke up "stay close okay rin? we don't want you getting lost now do we?"
earning a nod from the boy, as you turned around, you heard footsteps behind you. Seeing Oikawa return after speaking with one of the staff and handing them your passes to enter.
"ready y/n chan? rin?" the taller male questioned happily, tilting his head as he stared back at you.
before you could even say anything rin had blurted out "MR TOORU LETS GO HURRY!"
guess the boy can only be so patient for so long huh?
