"Now I don't know whether to ask how you did that, what you just did, or again, what are you?" Dean yelled. Dean trained his eyes on the female, his jaw tightening in concentration as he aimed his gun at her.
"Well, it seems to me that you have just asked me all three!" Y/n responded cheekily.
"Okay, let's start with what was that?" Sam spoke up.
"What was what?"
"That!" Sam stressed.
"What?!"
"How did you move over there?" Sam rephrased his question.
"That was me flying, silly goose."
"Okay, how'd you do it?"
"Same way you walk. You just do it." She replied as though it were the most obvious thing in the world.
"I will ask one more time, what are you." Dean takes steps closer to Y/n.
"How many times do I have to tell you-"
"No! Cats do not turn into humans. Cats do not fly. Cats are just cats. Now tell me, or so help me I will put a bullet in your skull, what the fuck are you?" Dean snarled as he pressed the barrel of his gun to her temple.
Y/n leaned forward with a smirk that Dean wanted so badly to cut off with an angel blade.
"Do it. Blow my brains out, because I have no other answer than, I am what I a—" y/n's sentence was cut off by the sound of a gunshot. Both boys blinked as a compulsive flinch from the sound.
"What the..." Dean trailed off when he found
Y/n smirking up at him, gun still against her head, but no mark on her body. The only proof that a bullet had left the barrel was the hole in the wall behind Y/n's head."You can't kill what doesn't exist." The girl taunted as her body began to disappear again.
"Hey!" Sam yelled. Y/n paused and her figure reappeared again.
"Hello?" She responded. Within seconds Sam lunges forward, quickly slapping an iron cuff onto the girl's left wrist. "Well this has been a turn of events." Y/n narrated to herself as she stared at the cuffs closely in slight surprise.
Deans scoffs and moves out of Sam's way so he can attach the second cuff to the metal bars of the bed. As soon as Sam took a step back from the girl, Dean finally lowered his gun, thinking the girl could cause them no harm due to the situation she was in.
"Since you can't seem to answer such a simple question, how about you tell us how you escaped painting the walls with your brain matter?" Dean sighed and began to pace in front of Y/n.
"There is much about me that you do not know, what I can do, to you I inform, I do not owe." She sighed, her grin never wavering.
"I'm going to pretend that I understood what you just said and ask another question. Where are you from?" Dean asked her, clearly frustrated.
"I am not entirely sure what you meant when you asked such a question. If you are asking where I have come from on the point of journey, I have arrived from that table right over there." She pointed to the table she once sat upon using her non-cuffed hand.
"If you are pondering where I came into existence, I have no answer. Birth isn't a common occurrence among my friends and acquaintances. However! If you ask from where I inhabit, the answer is simple, the wondrous land in which we all ponder." She sat back, quite satisfied with her response.
"That was simple?" Said Dean with raised eyebrows.
"Care to simplify even more?" Spoke Sam.
"You are bonkers if you can't identify Wonderland from such a simple description. Well, bonkers makes the best kind of people." She giggled. Sam's eyes widened while Dean furrowed his eyebrows.
"Wait, wait, did you just say Wonderland? As in Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland?" Sam asked, not completely believing what he was hearing.
"Lewis Carroll's what now?" Y/n quickly took on the roll as the questioner.
"Lewis Carroll!" Sam exclaimed as he pulled his computer onto his lap. "His real name is Charles Lutwidge Dodgson. He wrote the book 'Alice's Adventures in Wonderland' back in the 1800s. It's about Alice-"
"Liddell, daughter of Henry George Liddell. Yes, I remember Mr. Dodgson! He stumbled down the White Rabbit's hole, and Alice skipped down after him. You mean to tell me that after he and Alice came back home, he wrote a book about me?! Aw, I'm so flattered!" Y/n rambled, attempting to place her hand on her cheek, only to be restricted by the cuffs.
Y/n continued, "Carroll wrote about all of Wonderland; the Hatter, the White Rabbit, the Queen of Hearts, the Jabberwocky, and the Cheshire..."
"Cat." Dean finished Sam's thought, both boys staring at Y/n in disbelief.
"I told you, I am what I am." She spoke cockily.
"Wonderland is a children's story! This must be some kind of trick. What are you, a trickster?" Dean chastised.
"Oh!" She piped up. "You are very wrong! Wonderland is very real, as real as the cuffs on my wrist. Speaking of," she paused, "Please do not handcuff me, it makes my paws very tender." She pouted as she easily lifted her hand out of the handcuff as though her hand did not even exist, but was merely a mirage.
"Wha?! How did you do that!" Dean demanded.
"Have you learned nothing from Mr. Dodgson's books? The cheshire cat does as she pleases." Y/n responds, smiling so wide that the brothers thought it looked painful. "And your confusion pleases me to no end."
"Wait, in the books, the Cheshire Cat is male." Sam smirked, pointing out the inconsistency as he removed his computer from his lap so he could return to standing.
"Seriously?! Wow Mr. Dodgson, are you seriously still bitter about that? It was one time!" Y/n yelled out, as though Lewis Carroll could actually hear her from beyond his grave.
"Okay, but that doesn't explain why you were following us." Dean crossed his arms over his chest, not caring enough to have her explain what that 'one time' was.
"How could I follow you if I knew exactly where I was going, but you made your decisions in the spur of the moment? It sounds more like you were following me, but I just happened to be moving two seconds after you. Stalkers."
"And where were you going?"
"How would I know? I had no distinct destination, so which way I went was insignificant."
