Author's Note:

Hello People,

Many of you might be wondering why I have put this author's note before the update. It is so different from my usual style.

I did this because I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you all for the love and support that you have bestowed on me. I am truly honoured and so very grateful.

Also, I wanted to clear a few things here. First of all, this chapter is not proof read. For one, I don't have a beta reader and secondly I wanted to post this chapter asap as my personal problems had already delayed this chapter. I will make the corrections at a later date and I am sorry for the inconvenience.

A lot of Indian words and jargons have been used in this story as a whole. I will try to compile a glossary of Indian words, however, till I do that, please feel free to ask the meaning of words which creates any confusion. Also, the words Raja and Maharaj have been used interchangeably. However, both denote the same thing. The difference in the actual words is of degree, however, here in this chapter and in this book, they mean one and the same.

At last, I would like to say that please review the story and let me know how you like the characters, the plot and the setting. Don't forget to comment and vote. As always, I await your response.

Happy reading!

Love

Katha

The night breeze wafted in from the open window, bringing with it the sweet smell of night blooming flowers, blowing away the curtains, as she stood there in the dark, feeling it on her face and wondering when and how her life had changed so much. As the reigning queen of Madhavgarh, it was supposed to be easy for her. But the truth was far from it. A husband who was known more for his penchant for women than anything positive, she had been a mute spectator to his lascivious ways. It was only when her husband fell sick, his constitution weakened by the continuous drinking and she realized that the estate was on the verge of collapse that she had summoned her eldest son.
