CHAPTER - 3: Make Way For The PrinceMADHAVGARH: SHOCKING ACCIDENT ON STATE HIGHWAY
In the late hours of last night, a motor cyclist rammed a pedestrian on the state highway and sped away. The victim who has been identified as Ratnesh Singh, an MBA student who had been in his hometown on a vacation was admitted to Jaipur City hospital in a critical condition. His cousin who was with him during the accident has lodged a FIR in the city police station.
While the police have been trying to hide the identity of the assailant, it is said that the bike was being driven by the younger son of Madhavgarh Royal Family - Kunwar Devraj Singh Rathore. According to the sources, the young prince had finished a meeting in Royal Pride - the hotel run by his family and had been drunk when he came out of the hotel premises. Eyewitnesses claimed that the Prince got into a tiff with a waiter in the hotel and left the premises in an inebriated state.
While it remains to be seen if the prince will be punished or not, the royal family is bearing the cost of treatment of the victim which in itself speaks about the guilt of the person concerned.
Shubham closed the paper with a deprecating smile. The national daily didn't care about the victim but what it wanted to do was bring the younger son of the Madhavgarh royal family under scanner. The royal family had its task cut out if it wanted to save its reputation. Atleast the local daily had conveniently hidden the identity of the bike rider and instead focused on the meeting which the scion of the royal family Kunwar Devansh Singh Rathore had attended in Jaipur. It was perhaps Devansh's influence that the victim had found a place in the city hospital so late in the night. And if the medical situation continued to remain critical, Kunwar Rathore would have no option other than to shift the patient to a private facility. Shubham knew pretty well that the young scion would do that. However, if he did not curtail his younger brother, all the hard work that Devansh had put into turning Madhavgarh into a brand name would collapse like a pack of cards. And considering the fact that the national daily hadn't been so considerate in reporting the news, Shubham knew the next few days were going to be challenging for the Madhavgarh Royal Family.

She looked at the paper spread in front of her with an impassive face. The national daily hadn't bother to report the meeting held between the various royal families in Jaipur in detail, however; the local newspaper had taken up the news with an almost sacred fervour.
The Regency High in Jaipur had played host to the bi annual meeting between the six royal families with great pride. And this year, Madhavgarh Royalty had been invited for the second consecutive time. It was a matter of pride for the young prince, Kunwar Devansh Singh Rathore. This was something he had long wanted to do. But time and situation hadn't been in his favour. His hard work and dedication had successfully turned the tides for Madhavgarh Royal Family and put them in an equal footing with other smaller royalties of Rajasthan. And if this tide continued, then soon Madhavgarh would become a force to be reckoned with in the business world. As it was, they were considered second best to the Mewar royalty.
