Chapter 2: Darling's story

This year has been pretty hectic, and classes have gotten harder thanks to all the assignments and lessons that we missed during these times, but these past three months have been pretty normal if I do say so myself, well not really, there has been a lot of change. For example Daring, after he wasn't able to wake up Apple from her curse, he had an existential crisis. Me and Dexter tried to comfort him but to no avail. Then the Winter King brought chaos to Ever After High, and Daring followed Crystal, Briar, Faybelle, Ashley, Blondie, and Rosabella to fix this. I stayed behind to help all my friends in Ever After. I noticed how Apple would be ignoring me and not look at me at the eye. I thought it was a bit weird, but I just thought that she was just too busy to talk to me. After the weather was finally brought back to normal, everyone that went to the mission came back. Daring seemed happier now, and he seemed to hang out a lot with Rosabella, it's nice to know that he has made new friends. Me no longer having to worry about Daring, tried to talk to Apple to see if she needed any help, but she just ignored me, she would run away saying she was busy, or flat out just not look at me. I eventually got the hint, and left her alone. I figured that it was because of the kiss, so I choose to give her space. Saying that it hurts me is a understatement, but I understand why she would hate me. I'm not the Prince Charming that Apple was promised, it was Daring. All I can do is let them figure out their own stuff and hope that our friendship can be salvaged.

"School time is over, all students are dismissed."

Oh no, I got so distracted by my thoughts that I didn't pay attention in class again! I'll just have to ask Dexter for his notes during our study meeting.

"Hey Darling!" Raven is still sitting in her seat getting her stuff ready to leave. "So ummm, I may or may not have been listening to music this whole time and basically forgot to take the notes."

"So you want me to show you my notes?"

"YEAH, *hmm* yeah, I would really appreciate it."

"Sorry Raven, but I also forgot to take the notes today."

"How come? You're not the type to not do their schoolwork."

"Haha, well I just got a bit distracted with my own thoughts and lost track of time."

"Is everything alright Darling? You been daydreaming a lot and you are not the type to get distracted easily."

"Yeah I'm fine Raven you don't have to worry, also I'm going to meet up with Dex, I can take a picture of the notes and send it to you if you want."

"Sure that's ok, umm but you do know that if something is bothering you, you can tell me, right?"

"Yes, definitely."

"Alright, see you later Darling."

"See you later Raven."

Raven looked quite worried there. She probably is worried about Apple, and I don't want to add on to her worries, plus I'm doing fine now! There's nothing for her to worry about. I see Apple leaving the classroom, and she seems a bit nervous. I wonder what's on her mind, I wish I could do something to ease her, but I would probably make things worst. I waited a bit after Apple left to not bump into her and make things awkward. Hopefully I don't bump into her on my way to the lifairy so I took a shortcut. On my way there I sense my phone vibrating in my pocket, and it was Dexter.

"Oh, hey Darling!"

"Hey Dex, are you already at the lifairy?"

"Yes I'm already here but um, I called cause I forgot to get my books from my locker and I was wondering if you can grab them for me."

"Well I can just bring mine, I'm closer to my locker than yours, and I also just realized I need to get some of mine!"

"That's fine, Thank you Darling you're a life saver!"
