Chapter 4: The knight in shinning armor

(Darling's POV)

I like coming to class early. It's pretty peaceful and I don't have to worry about being late to class. There really isn't many people in the classroom right now which it's not surprising. Oh Dexter just entered!

"Hey Dex!"

"Oh hey Darling!" He came and sat down right beside me. Dex also likes coming to class early mostly since his roommate Hunter often goes to class with Ashlynn, and Daring would still be asleep, so we both just meet up in class. "How did you do on last weeks homework?"

"It wasn't too bad, I feel like the staff haven't drowned us on so much school work anymore."

"Yes I've noticed that too! It may be because we are finally finishing everything that we were supposed to be taught since the Evil Queen escaped."

"Yeah about that, have you ever wondered how she escaped? I know for sure Raven knows since when I asked her, she got really nervous."

"Umm no? I never really cared how she broke out, I mostly assumed that she got out with dark magic or something like that."

"Yeah but if that was true than why would Raven get so nervous? What is she hiding? I wanna discover what secret she's hiding..." I look over to Dex with a worried expression on his face. "OR MAYBE SHE TRULY DID BREAK OUT WITH DARK MAGIC HAHA *cough* it's not like everything has to be so deep right? Haha..."

"Uhu... well for whatever reason she got out of her mirror prison we won't have to worry about seeing her again! Plus Raven always gets nervous when talking about her mom, mostly around Principal Grimm now that I think about it."

"Yeah I guess you're right, but something about that incident just seems weird to me."

"Yeah but there isn't much of a reason to think about that now."

"Hmm, anyways have you seen Apple recently? It seems like she has been missing classes."

"I think she is! I haven't seen her out of school or with any of her friends."

"Do you think it's because of-"

"Because of Daring? Yeah definitely! I mean I think you were the last one to see her in school grounds."

*sigh* "I should have done something right?"

"Yeah like speaking to her!"

"But she wants nothing to do with me! I can't force my help on someone who doesn't want it!"

"And how do you know she wouldn't have wanted it? All you have to do is speak to her and make her feel better!"

"Yeah easy for you to say, you can barely spit out a word in front of Raven!"

"I- yeah you got me there."

"You think that I should visit her?"

"You just went off about how you want to give her space."

"I know but she's starting to worry me. I don't even want to tell her I like her anymore, I just want to make sure she's ok! It's not normal of her to skip class for a week."

"I mean-"

*DING* *DONG*

"-I think you should visit her. She must be confused and sad right now so even if she does hate you, she won't care because she needs someone to be there for her right now!"
