‘He really does look like her, does he?’ Dream replied with a nod, straightening his spine after a lengthy period of sitting curved on the couch. After he had removed George’s father from his life, he had brought him to Sapnap and his home. Dream had expected him to refuse to come, but to his surprise, he cooperated without bulging. He had no clue on how George felt about his family member getting murdered in front of him, he hadn’t experienced emotions for a long time now, except the happiness he felt when he had an enjoyable moment with Sapnap. Feelings were just like a barrier, a wall to protect you. Suppressing his emotions was reinforcing it while feeling things and mainly getting hurt by doing so broke them down until you were left out in the open, having only your arms to defend yourself.

Sapnap sighed as he stood up and walked over to where George was lying. He sat next to him on the black couch, reaching out to touch the boy.

‘Don’t you dare,’ Dream warned, providing him a look that could effortlessly pierce his insides.

‘Chill out dude, I’m not harming him.’ He rolled his eyes, leaning back into the warmth of the couch.

‘Can I at least hug him if he wakes up?’

‘Why on actual earth would you want to do that?’ The blond asked, raising his brows.

‘I just want a hug,’ he yammered, ‘you always push me away.’ Dream snickered while fidgeting with the cords of his comfy hoodie.

‘Yeah, I don’t wanna hug you.’ He made it sound teasing, yet a little mean. He received a pillow in his face from his friend, a wheeze evading his mouth at the view of his highly annoyed friend.

‘It’s rude to decline a hug, alright!’ Sapnap pouted, crossing his arms and heaving his chin slightly.

‘I can’t help you always stink.’ Another pillow flew through the air, this time missing Dream since his aim wasn’t good. It quickly extended into a lame pillow fight which was filled with laughter and silent yelling at each other to not wake the boy still passed out next to Sapnap.

They abruptly stopped when a pillow Dream threw hit George in the center of his face. As if it was pre-arranged, they froze, staring at him as he stirred in his sleep and let out a small yawn. He seemed to be very disoriented as he sat up, staring at them with confusion. His hair was completely messed up, and despite the fact that it would look terrible on most people, he looked fantastic.

He struggled to suppress a hold-back laugh, but miserably failed when he saw Sapnap doing the same. They broke out in another wheezing session while George just stared at them with no clue on what was going on.

After they calmed down a bit, Dream inhaled deeply to clear his blurry mind.

‘What is going on?’ Dream nearly fell back into laughing due to the sudden serious question, but successfully maintained himself from doing so. Before Dream could say a word his friend had already opened his mouth.

‘Dream threw a pillow in your face.’ The blond rolled his eyes, leaving his heavy head on his hand.

‘Dream? That’s quite a name for a murderer.’ Sapnap chuckled at the sarcasm in the comment.

‘Can I keep him?’ His friend asked, pointing at George. The brunet backed away from him and pressed his back against the couch, only for Sapnap to yank him back from there and pull him in a spontaneous hug. He watched as George gingerly hugged him back, clearly uncomfortable with the situation.

Sapnap whispered something into George’s ear, just loud enough for him to not hear it. He supposed that was his intention as George’s once awkward expression turned into a mischievous one.
