It was the third month when Colonel Griffin was assigned to the top secret facility that was best known as Area 51. Two days before he drove to Nevada, he gave his wife a farewell kiss, along with a heartwarming hug before being released from his wife's grip and opening the driver's door open. As he got in, he puts the keys into the engine before staring it up and then closes the door.

"Stay safe, Jim!" His wife hollowers over the loud engine. Jim smiles at her statement as he puts on his seat belt before blowing her a kiss from the window. As he drives off, he hollowers back to her, "Always my dear!" And leaves his wife standing on the front porch, alone. The only company for her was the cold breeze that passed by every few minutes of the day.

A week already passed by before Jim finally made it to his destination. He was currently walking through the halls of the secret facility when he was stopped by one of the many scientists that roamed the halls.

"Good afternoon, Colonel. My name is Lisa Jones and I'm here to escort you to the meeting room." Lisa spoke in a calm manner, handing a clipboard and a black pen to him.

"Lead the way, Ms. Jones." Jim replies back, taking the clipboard and pen from her and begins to follow her into a dimly lit room. When they entered the room, there was a round metal table with multiply chairs around it. Different people sat around the table, stopping their discussion when Jim and Lisa walked in.

"Ah! Welcome, Colonel Griffin. Please, have a seat." One of the people spoke to him, gesturing to an empty chair near the person. Jim nods his head, mouthing the words 'thank you' before taking a seat on the chair. Once he sat down, the lights in the room diminished which were replaced with a light blue glow of a holoprojector in the middle of the table. White letters with numbers were plastered on the holoprojector but was then soon replaced with pictures of a young boy.

"A01964 was apprehended four mouths ago and is currently being tested as we speak." The same person spoke before someone else decided to speak.

"Where did A01964 come from exactly?"

"We believe another planet but aren't too sure if that's true. For all we know, A01964 could have been living on Earth for who knows how long." The first person spoke to the one who asked the question.

"We have found out that A01964 is not human once we stabilized him." Lisa butts in, before becoming quiet once again. Jim continues to look at the many pictures of the young boy, curiosity and horror flashed through his facial features every time the picture changes to another. The rest of the people were talking in the room, but he could care less until he looked at one particular picture that caught his attention.

The picture showed a young boy that was probably around the age of 6 or 7, curled in a corner with his knees up to his chest and his head placed on his knees while his arms were wrapped around his little legs. Jim thought why these people are treating this young boy as some type of serious threat when in fact that it wasn't at the moment.

"May I speak to it?" Jim asked, silencing everyone in the room. Everyone stared at him with dumbfounded eyes before Lisa asked, "Are you sure?" Which then Jim nods his head in agreement before saying, "If that is alright with you."

"Go ahead, Colonel. We all know you have a unique way of understanding children better than any parent does." The person standing at the end of the table replies back.

"Thank you, sir." Was all Jim said before leaving the room with Lisa and walking down a different hallway that lead to the young boy's room. Lisa places her name tag on the sensor screen, unlocking the door and moving out of the way for Jim to walk inside.

Once he was inside the room, Lisa closes the door leaving Jim alone with the young boy. He immediately found where the young boy was and slowly approached him. The young boy looks up at Jim with a glare in his dark blue eyes. As Jim crept closer to the young boy, he lashes out at him and spoke a strange language which Jim could only guess was his native language.

"Dura rahina! Dura rahina!"

"It's okay. I won't hurt you." Jim says, raising his hands in the air, a sign of surrender. The young boy took notice of his gesture before speaking again.

"Tu kauna hai?"

"I'm sorry but I don't understand. Mind if I get something really quick?" Jim asked as he backed away from the young boy before turning his back to him.

"Tusim ki kara rahe ho?"

"Ah, here we go." Jim says, grabbing a book and walking back over to the young boy again.

"Vapasa raho!" The young boy yells at Jim. Jim crouches down to the young boy's level before placing the book on the ground and sliding it towards him. The young boy slowly picks up the book and opens it after five tries. He looks through the book and would sometimes place his hand on the pictured hand in the book. "Asali?" The young boy asked Jim which Jim only gives him a confused stare before signing away with his hand. The boys looks at Jim's hand with interest before looking at his own hand and then at the pictured hands in the book.

Jim signs 'what is your name' with his hand before he was responded by the young boy who signed, 'what'. Jim chuckles to himself before reduing the sign and which the young boy responses with, 'Rasalas'.

'I'm Jim.' Jim signs with his hand and thought as he continued to communicate, 'At least I'm getting somewhere'.
