*Creak*
The sound of tiny footsteps could be heard as they continued their journey across the squeaky floor boards on the stairs. Tiny pale hands grasped the golden colored doorknob before twisting it with a silent grunt when the door opened.
The night sky air brushed across the pale face of the child before darting away from the lonely house. An angry voice yelled through the calm night sky, ripping its peace from its existence. The child ran through the thick forest, tears streaming down their face.
Ducking into a hollow area inside the tree, the child cowered in fear, putting their hands over their mouth, forbidding them from speaking. The child prayed silently to whoever was got there for the angry person not to get a hold of them. 10 minutes passed, then 20 and still nothing. Everything was quiet and calming, so the child decided to peak their head outside of the hollowed area before climbing down ever is quietly.
As the child began to run away, a firm hand gripped the child's bony arm, scaring the child. The angry person tried to quiet the very loud child by hitting them but since that didn't work, the person pulled out a shot of some kind before stabbing it into the child's arm.
The drug began to take effect as the child started to become more docile and quiet before darkness consumed them.*The young girl woke with a started as she tried to catch her breath from the nightmarish dream. She turned her head to the side, watching the younger children in the room breath silently in an endless slumber. The little girl let out a deep sigh before getting out of bed as quietly as she could. She grabbed a hammy down army green jacket and wrapped it around, covering her slender arms. She then grabbed a pair of black rain boots and shoved them inside before walking out of the children's bedroom.
She shuts the door and walks down the dimly lit hall, not daring to stare up at the night sky that haunts her dreams. Not looking where she was going, she bumped into a young woman holding a lantern that illuminated her face. Bright blonde hair was neatly tied up in a bun on her head while emerald green eyes looked at the young girl worriedly. The young girl always thought the young woman looked beautiful when the sun kisses her bright blonde hair when they play outside.
"Oh Rick, what brings you out here this fine night?" The young woman asks in a gentle manner. Rick away from the young woman for what seemed to be an eternity before she spoke.
"Couldn't sleep." Rick says quietly before passing the young woman and continuing her journey of walking down the hallway. The young woman stared at the tiny figure that disappeared into the darkness of halls before replying back.
"Oh, okay."Hey guys, it's me. I know I haven't been all there with this story but remember that this is a side thing. It won't get big until I finish up with my other story & actually get it published. Hope you like the chapter & song. If you're going to listen to the song, listen it to when the story isn't italic. Sorry if it's short but trust me you won't be disappointed for long.
If by chance you or someone else you know has been abused or kidnapped in someway, don't hesitate to call the authorities or police. Got to go & work on study guides for finals. Okay bye then!!!P.S. The picture, song, and any DC characters do not belong to me unless they are completely made up then they are. Okay bye for-reals this time.
