Wammy's House in Winchester England, was an orphanage for those who had exceptional intelligence and skills. Miyuki, was no exception, and she along with the others was indeed intelligent. She, more so than her fellow peers, had the ability to thouroughly analyze people by what they said, their reactions to events, and their body language. Becuase she knew about the motives of other people, she distanced herself. She read too deeply into others, and what she noticed disturbed her endlessly.
Of course, being the quiet girl she was, no one knew about her ability to do this. To them, Miyuki was a outcast, in a house full of outcasts. However, she found happiness in the company of Beyond, for she could not understand him one bit. Either that, or Miyuki enjoyed the type of person she saw in Beyond. The even stranger orphan greeted Miyuki with open arms, and the two bonded over their common hatred towards L.
The ever observational Miyuki sat on the steps that lead up to the pronouned Wammy's House. Thunder crackled in the night sky, and rain pounded against her ears and blinded her vision. It soaked her usual plain black dress, but a faded grey cardigan managed to keep her somewhat dry. A small sack bookbag hung from her delicate fram, and it contained only the nessecary items she needed. Her ebony bangs were plastered against her forhead, and despite the rain and the freezing temperature, she sat unmoving.
Kekekekeke~
A laugh soaked with the sound of a shinigami caused the small girl's head to shoot up. Turning her head towards where the laughter had come from, she was greeted by the shadow of her best, and only friend.
"Kekekeke...glad to see you could make it out of the building." He chuckled and walked towards the girl and offered her his hand.
Looking up into the deep, red, kind eyes of Beyond, Miyuki slipped her fragile hand into his, and a smile graced Beyond's lips.
With a smirk, he tugged her up from the steps, her weightless figure flying up into his arms. Miyuki looked forward emotionlessly, and was pinned to his chest. The boy with messy black hair leaned forward, and placed a gentle kiss on Miyuki's stone cold lips. She didn't kiss back, but Beyond wasn't expecting her to. He knew the girl loved him, and he certainly loved her back. Pulling away, he twined his fingers with hers and smiled.
"Shall we go? We have to get started." His smile widened and his eyes grew large in anticipation at what was to come.
Shrugging her backpack pack onto her shoulders into a more comfortable position, she granted him a smile, although it didn't nearly reach her eyes.
The two set off down the cobblestone pathway that led out to Winchester. Beyond let his free hand fall into his jean pocket, and brush against the reassuring edge of the plane tickets. Miyuki felt the steady light swing of her backpack, which contained the strange Wara Ningyo, a change of clothing, and the tools Beyond had requested her to collect. It was imperative he had these, or else his plan would be ruined.
L would fall. He would challenge an opponet he had no chance of winning. A case would present itself to L, that he himself could not even solve.
B comes before L
