-Two years later, after the 1st murder-

The door slammed open, and in walked the messy, black haired boy of 16 years.  He shut the door, and leaned against it, and a laugh shook tremors through his body.  His hysteric laughs bounced and echoed through the space of the cramped hotel.

The short, frail girl, with bangs shrouding her eyes peeked out from behind the corner of the hallway.  Her emotionless black orbs landed on the crumpling figure of Beyond.  Slowly, the 14 year old stepped out, her shoeless feet walking silently over the green, worn carpet of the room.

"I-I...I did it..kekeke...it's done...d-drugged him...strangled..."  Beyond the Birthday let out a loud laugh of triumph.  A smiled plastered on his face, he looked up to Miyuki, who stood with a curious face.

"The wara ningyo?"  She questioned, indicating to the four wara ningyo Beyond was to place around the room.  "Yes, all placed..."  He stood up and embraced her, still smiling sadistically.  She stood unmoving, with a question still ready to be asked.  "And the door?  Locked?"

"Of course."  Satisfied with their safety, and the fact that this murder would be unsolved, Miyuki wrapped her arms around Beyond, relishing in their shared moment.

He then pulled away, a thoughtful look on his face.  "The airwaves..."

He moved to the one section of the room, where the intricate set of computer monitors and radio equipment was set up.  Pushing forward the faded tan loveseat, he sat, hunched over with his knees brought up to his chest.

"Jam."  He requested to Miyuki, as he started pounding away on the keyboard.  Miyuki opened the minifridge, which was filled with the clear jars of strawberry jam.  Grabbing one from the front, she walked back where Beyond was analysing the screen, his wide red eyes searching for information that would be considered valuable.  Opening the lid, she set the jar of the sticky sweet jam in front of him, and sat herself down on the arm of the loveseat.

Quickly, his two fingers found their way to the Strawberry jam, and scooped a large heaping into his mouth, realising a sigh of content.

With one hand, he tapped away on the computer, and with the other eagerly digging into the jam.  Miyuki just kept her eyes plastered forward on the screen.

"There."  She grabbed his wrist, causing him to stop from scrolling down the screen.  She released her grip, and pointed to the line of decoded information.

A message from L.

From who, it didn't say, but they had managed to slip into his system.

Naomi Misora will be sent on Wednesday to the murder scene, under my orders.

"In three days..."  Miyuki whispered.  Yes, that would only make sense.  The police had to finish their own investigation.

Beyond only smiled once again.  "Hm...Misora?  I wasn't expecting another pawn in this game.  The more opponets, the more fun."

Miyuki cast her gaze aside.  Naomi...that was a girls name.  Beyond would be with another girl on Wednesday.  She had never had feelings of jealousy before; she was the only person, girl or boy, to befriend Beyond.  A quesy feeling overcame her.  Would his feelings change?

She was jolted out of her thoughts but a strong arm that was wrapped around her midsection, pulling her down towards the center of the chair and onto Beyond's lap.  She looked up through her dark bangs and met the kind red eyes of Beyond.  A sad smile graced his lips, and he said, "Don't think too much, you'll get lost."

And with that he kissed her softly, only confirming his feelings for her.  They pulled away silently, and Beyond was pleased with the slight emotion that flashed across her large eyes.

Two more days Naomi...will you prove to be worthy?
