Chapter 3

Artemis POV
I heard voices. I opened my eyes to see Black Canary and Superman talking to each other. I groaned as I felt a lot of pain in my arm. I think Superman heard me because he came over to me and, put his hand softly on my shoulder. "How are you?" Superman I asked. I looked down to see my arm banged up and my costume torn "what happen?"I asked. Superman signed "you and the team were attacked. You are the only one who is awake". Everything that happened came back faster than flash. Renegade , the kiss and that I kissed a villain? Superman walked over to the door and opened it "do you have any idea who did this, Artemis?" He asked "no." I lied. He left Black Canary the medical room with me. Canary stood up " Get some rest and get better. You can leave and go home if you want to." she said walking out and closing the door. I tried standing up but almost fell. I gripped the bed, my hand ached as my hand touched the railing of the bed, I managed stand up.

I made my way home. I opened my window "mom I'm home!" I yelled "come down for dinner." my mom yelled back. I took off the bandages, the scars were gone but my arm was red and it hurt like hell. I took of my costume and put on some leggings and a plain grey shirt. I went downstairs for dinner "hi mom" I kissed my mom's cheek "hi Artemis, how was your day?" She asked. "fine." I lied my arms hurt like hell. After dinner, I got an ice-pack out of the freezer and then upstairs to my room. I opened the door and walked in. My room looked better than before. My room was painted blue, everything was blue. Batman upgraded everything. I'm grateful for it too.

I heard the door close "hello Beloved" I heard someone say from the shadow of my room. I picked up an arrow off my dresser, but instantly dropped the arrow because of my hand "ahh." I quietly screamed in pain. I stumbled and fell on my knees. Renegade came out of the shadows with a worried face, He ran up to me and kneel down on one knee, asked softly holding my hand. "Are you ok love." "No." I mumble. He lift my chin "sorry miss." he apologized, in a sincere tone. He and kiss me on the lips passionately, I kissed back. "You really are sorry aren't you." I smirked "yes" he rolled his eyes. He put his hands around my waist "apology accepted." I said. " We're going to need to re-patch that. What do you you want to do while I patch your arm?" He gave me a cute boyish grin. And hold up my arm carefully. "umm, can we watch a movie?" "Anything for you, princess." I kissed him on lips, he kissed back 'dad if you are doing this, you're doing a good job'. Ren picked me up bridal style and put me on my bed. Me and Renegade were watching a movie and Renegade had his head in my lap, while I was playing with his hair "Renegade?" I asked "its Dick" he said looking at me. I raised an eyebrow. He saw my confusion "my name is Richard but people call me Dick for short" he explained "ok Dick" I kissed him on the cheek. "I have a question?" He sits up "ask away, love" he said looking in my eyes. I looked away, he put his hand on my face and lightly grabbed my chin."I won't judge" he said "umm....d-do you want to be my b-boyfriend" I sturdier and blushed. He looked at me shocked, I turned my head "n-never mind" I said, looking down. "Look at me, love" he demanded, I looked at him with tears in my eyes, trying to blink them away. He wiped my tears with his thumb "please don't cry" I hugged him, he hugged back. I slowly dosed off to sleep
An hour later
"Beloved, Beloved" I heard someone say, I groaned "princess wake up" I looked up to see Dick smiling "hi" I said. He checked his phone "oh sorry beloved but I have to go" he peacked my lips and left out my window. After he left I put my pjs on. I was about to go to sleep, then I felt something buss I picked up my phone and opened up my message.
Dick: see you soon Beloved 😘

I turned my phone off and went back to sleep.

I smiled reading the text "Who are you texting" someone asked behined me. I looked over my shoulder to see my mom(Talia). "Nothing Mother" I say "ya right" she rolled her eyes " how was your mission that Sportmaster gave you?" She asked "great" I smiled. Mother smiled back. Talia has been the happiest person ever since she broke up with Bruce Wayne."remember you have that mission with Bane in a week" she said putting our clothes in a suitcase. "Let's go son. We don't want to be late for our flight"
