After school I walked with Anthony to the cafe he worked at. We sat and talked for a while. Well, he did most of the talking. There's so much going on in that noggin, and nothing all at the same time. He talked for hours about a plethora of things. It started with boy troubles, from there he told me about a time he was rejected because he was a June Gemini. Honestly, I lost track of whatever else he talked about. I didn't mind it too much though, having an extrovert friend who does all the talking is nice sometimes. Plus, his dsd isn't a superhero so his stories are ten times more exciting than mine, well... the stories i'm allowed to tell. And even those are half truths.
We'd been sitting on the cafe patio for a while when Anthony checked the time on his phone. "I gotta to pick up my brother from school. Your free to come with!" We stood and I gave him a firm hug "Ugh! I love the hugs you give!" he cheered, I could feel myself blushing a little. "Thanks! Tell Ryan I say hi for me! I have to be on my way too." Anthony frowned. "He'll be sad you aren't telling him." He laughed "I'll text you and let you know when i'm free. Maybe we can take him to the park one of these days!" I said as I pulled apart from the hug.
Anthony grunted and rubbed the back of his head, the thump of an object hitting the floor could be heard. "Cut out that fruity sh*t!" A stranger yelled, I looked over. A middle aged man had thrown rock while passing by. "Cut what out exactly?" Anthony spun on his heel and shouted back? "That gay sh*t. I don't wanna see it!" the man retorted. "So look away." I said. I didnt shout, but I raised my voice. "Oooh real scary! Get your boyfriend to protect you." He taunted. I stepped towards the man. "I'm not his boyfriend, and you should mind your own business." I said now face to face with the man. "Or what? You gonna hit me?" he continued taunting. "You're sure asking for it."
I looked at him. I may not be the fighter dad is, but I think I'd learned enough to defend someone who needed it. The man smirked and attempted a left hook.            I dodged and hesitated for a minute before throwing a punch into the mans jaw. He retaliated with a straight jab headed for my nose. Despite his old age he was a hard hitter. I could see bystanders filming at this point. "Let's break it up gents." A familiar voice called out, it was the one and only Spiderman. "You here to help out sissy boy and his dumb boyfriend?" the man laughed. "No. But that's enough out of you," Spiderman sighed and before the man could let out another sound he had been hit with Spiderman's webs. The man let out an angry, unintelligble groan, before attempting to throw a jab at Spiderman, without looking, or even hesitating. Spiderman caught the punch with a single hand and flipped the man onto the ground. "I'll keep him here til authorites arrive." It was then when Spiderman recognized me. "Oh- Hey! Thanks for the help earlier." he cheered. I laughed a little. I could feel a numbness from my nose, I looked down to find a growing puddle of blood. "Hehe. yeah." I chuckled dryly. I took in a deep breath to help the anger slowly fade from my veins
I turned to face Anthony, who was sat down and consoled by some of the passerby. I approached him, "Are you okay?" I knelt down on a knee and asked. He looked a bit mortified to see the blood dripping down my face. "Y-Y/N. I should be asking you that!" He covered his mouth and winced. He was the squeamish type so I backed away. Spiderman put a hand on my shoulder. "If you want I can get you to a hospital?" he offered. I nodded and took his hand. Within seconds we were soaring through the air. It hurt a bit, the speed of cutting through the wind burned the cuts on my lip and my nose. I closed my eyes to try and take my mind off the pain. Before I knew it my felt were on the ground and Spiderman was leading me into the hospital.
