The line buzzed, an incoming call was waiting from an unidentifiable number. Steve hung up and answered the caller. When he answered a voice buzzed on, masked by scrambled electronic frequencies. "Captain America... the nation's beloved hero. It seems like i've got something you're searching for..." the voice taunted. "Who are you? What do you want?" Peter demanded ripping the phone from Steve's hands. "Oh! What a surprise! Captain America AND Spider-Man! Or should I say, Peter Parker?" The voice cackled. Peter dropped the phone in shock. "H-how, how do you know who I am?" The young hero blurted. "That little recruitment meeting you all had earlier? You think SHIELD doesn't already have files littered with your information?" The voice responded. Peter picked up the phone, he and Steve were too stunned to respond. "Oh don't tell me I go through all the trouble to contact you and I can't even get two sentences, bah, whatever. You're gonna have to come find me if you want your pride and joy back Captain. Good luck." The phone call ended. Peter looked at the phone in disbelief, it had been less than a day since he had revealed his identity to (Name), he was shocked he had already put them in danger. "This is all my fault..." Peter muttered, "If I had never come to talk, (Name) may have never even been in this situation." He could only feel like he was to blame. "I need to fix this." He said as he bolted out of the apartment. "Peter- wait!" Steve called out to him, but Peter had already fled. Steve wiped the tears from his cheeks, there was no time to waste. His son was missing and there were next to no clues as to who could be behind the abduction. He patted his pockets for his phone, attempting to call Tony. "Shit, Peter still has my phone." He grumbled. It didn't matter all too much to him anyways, he never liked having it on him at all times. He only did it so that he had a way to communicate with (Name) when they were apart. The paranoia was starting to set in. If an unnamed villain had found (Name), he reasoned it was only a matter of time before their home was in danger. He secured all exits to the apartment and made his way to the door, making sure there was no way for anyone to enter while he was away. He already had a list of precautions to take into account, but he felt as though he hadn't done enough. Grabbing his keys and locking the door behind him, he made his way to his motorcycle. There was one place where he could feel somewhat at ease. The compound. Ironic considering the abductor clearly had a knowledge of how to access Shields databases.
Once he arrived at the compound he was greeted by a furious Natasha, and Tony who seemed like he had just finished recovering from a panic attack. "HOW COULD YOU LET THIS HAPPEN?" Natasha screamed furiously. Thor approached and pulled her away, "Nat, how could you say something life that?" Steve asked, he understood tensions were high and emotions were bound to go haywire. Tony slipped a flask out of his pocket and took a swig of what could only be an intoxicating mix of several different types of alcohol. "You're drinking? In the middle of a crisis?" Natasha turned her attention to Tony. "Hey, i'm trying to wind down the way I know best. We won't get anything done if we aren't collected and focused." He attempted to reason. "So being intoxicated is gonna help?" She argued. "Stop it, all of you!" Bruce's voice boomed, "(Name) is missing, and intoxication won't help, nor will screaming at one another. I know a thing or two about being angry and trust me, nothing is gonna get done if we're clawing at each other's throats the whole time." He scolded the group. Natasha took in a deep breath, Tony capped his flask and put it away. The group made their way to- anywhere other than the main foyer of the compound. The lot of them sat in silence, gloom and doom loomed overhead as they contemplated their next course of action——
You tossed and turned on the cold cot in a desolate warehouse. None of the questions you wanted to ask were gonna get any answers. Or any answers you liked to say the least. Time felt like and it was at a standstill. Whoever captured you here had blocked off any and all windows. The only source of light was a lone fluorescent bulb dangling from the ceiling. Occasionally it would flicker and spaz out. You couldn't tell how long you'd been in captivity. You threw off the thin scratchy blanket that had been doing a terrible job of keeping you warm and sat on the edge of the cot. As you stood up to stretch, you heard the faint buzz of a speaker powering on. "(Name) Rogers. Fancy making your acquaintance." The voice sneered. You didn't respond, electing to save your words for when they would be needed most. "No words? Fine by me, those researchers I've been in contact with will pay a pretty penny when they hear who I've got for them this time." the voice cackled as the speakers buzzed and clicked off. Weeks had gone by and you still had received no word from the Avengers. Not that you would have even known how long since the person abducted you. It all happened so quickly. You had left on time for school and were on your usual route. Everything was normal until you stepped out of the bodega. After that, the events of your capture were blurred, as if the events had never occured. But here you were... alone. Rotting away in an abandoned warehouse in who knows where.
