Chapter 2- the first "date"

^no one's POV:^

It had been a few days since the concert. Mukuro already missed Sayaka.. there was just something about her voice that left Mukuro wanting to see Sayaka again.

Mukuro was just cleaning her bedroom. That was when she found her jacket on the floor. The night of the concert, Mukuro threw her jacket onto the floor before passing out due to being extremely tired.
Her eyes lit up as she desperately searched through her pockets before finding the paper with Sayaka's number on it.
Her writing was so neat.. so perfect.
Mukuro smiled before typing Sayaka's number into her phone, hitting 'call'.
The phone rang
One time... two times... three times... fou-
That was when Sayaka answered.
"Sayaka Maizono. How can I help?" The voice on the other end of the phone said.
"Hey Sayaka. It's Mukuro. Sorry for the sudden call but I was wondering if you're free today.. I kinda wanna see you"
Sayaka let out a small giggle before replying to Mukuro
"I did tell you I'm free whenever, silly. Let me just get changed. Meet in 20 minutes at the park?"
Mukuro let out a "mmhm" before putting her jacket on
"See you there, pop star" Mukuro said before hanging up, letting out a small giggle as she did so.
Her phone then pinged. A message from Sayaka. It read:
Oh shush, Ikusaba. Don't call me pop star. I told you I'm talking a break from it <3
Mukuro smiled at the message before turning her phone off and continuing to get ready for her meet-up with Sayaka.

^time skip at the park<3: no one's pov^

Mukuro was sat under a tree at the park, waiting for Sayaka to arrive.

she was scrolling through her phone, looking at posts that her friends had posted all over social media. She was only sat alone for a little over 10 minutes before she noticed Sayaka walking over to her. She turned her phone off and slipped it into her pocket before getting up and greeting her friend with a warm, welcoming smile. Sayaka smiled back as she held her hand out for the soldier. Mukuro took the other girl's hand, her cheeks getting slightly warm.

They then walked around the park together. Hand in hand. Mukuro glimpsed at Sayaka every now and again, smiling slightly.

she was... happy with Sayaka.
Almost as if she felt safe around her, like she could finally be herself with Sayaka. She appreciated it.

The soldier decided to make small talk with Sayaka while they walked together.
"So, Sayaka, how come you have all these men that would do anything for you, yet you never even think about getting with any of them?"
Sayaka was a little taken aback by Mukuro's abrupt question, yet she answered her without hesitation.
"Lets just say that I don't find interest in men."
Sayaka replied.
Mukuro didn't want to make Sayaka uncomfortable at all, but she couldn't help but ask one more question.
"As in you're a lesbian?" Mukuro asked, her tone changing to a softer one as she stopped walking and turned to face Sayaka.

Sayaka looked down at her feet,
almost as if she was ashamed to admit that she was only interested in women.
Mukuro lifted Sayaka's head up using her index finger and middle finger.
"Hey, why don't we go to my place and we'll talk there instead so nobody overhears us?"
Sayaka nodded without saying a word, and with that, the two were off to Mukuro's house.

^Time skip: At Mukuro's House:^

Both Mukuro and Sayaka were wrapped in a blanket with a cup of piping hot peppermint tea each.
"Mukuro"
Sayaka said.
The soldier tilted her head slightly as a response.
"To answer your question earlier..."
Sayaka started her sentence, only for Mukuro to cut her off,
"You don't have to answer that! It just kinda slipped out."
"Now now Ikusaba, it's okay. I don't mind answering, and the answer to your question is yes, I am a lesbian. I haven't felt attraction to men for a few years now."
Mukuro was quite surprised by how open Sayaka was towards Mukuro. She must've really trusted her.
